Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Lie down in your bed and get really comfortable.
We're going to go on a very relaxing journey together.
It's the end of the day,
It's time to let go of everything that happened today.
No point in thinking about it or worrying about it.
Right now you're in bed and it's time to let your body and your mind completely relax.
So let me help you.
Close down your eyes and make sure that you're super super comfortable.
Snuggle into your soft warm blanket or whatever it is that makes you feel good.
We're going to play with some visuals,
Use our imagination,
Take ourselves to another place and time.
In your mind I'd like you to imagine that you're walking through the forest.
It's a really really cool forest.
It's thick and dense and there's so many big tall awesome trees all around you.
The forest feels quiet,
Safe.
It feels really good to be walking in nature like this.
You can hear the birds,
You can hear little rustling noises as if there's critters or animals running around doing their thing here in the forest.
Nobody's bothering you and you're not bothering anyone else.
It's really quiet and peaceful and it feels like an escape away from the rest of the world.
Like a special place where you can go to feel completely recharged,
To connect to nature,
To let the rest of the world just disappear from your thoughts.
There's a path that's worn down in the forest that you're walking on.
Maybe many many people have walked here before.
It's not too obvious but it's clearly a path.
You're taking your time and enjoying the walk and you know that close by there's a cabin.
That's where you're going.
Through the trees as you walk you start to see the colour of the cabin.
It's a soft sunshine yellow painted on the outside.
It looks happy and friendly.
It's very basic,
Just two windows and a door.
The door to the cabin is painted black.
It's a wooden door with a big round handle on it.
There's a fence around the cabin and a garden with vegetables and flowers.
This is your special place.
A place that you like to come to,
To do all the things that you enjoy.
This is like your safe place.
This cabin always always makes you feel better.
You start to get closer.
You open the gate,
Close the gate behind you.
And walk towards the black door with the big round heavy knocker looking type handle.
You turn the handle to the right and the door pushes in and you walk inside of your cabin.
The floor creaks just a little bit underneath your feet.
It's an old looking wooden floor.
Really thick beams with knots and interesting patterns on them.
And you love that floor.
To the left side of the room there's a fireplace on the fall wall.
It's big.
It's burning,
Crackling.
You can feel the heat coming from it as soon as you open the door.
There's a heavy fireplace over it.
And it's got different objects and things that you've collected and saved over the years.
It has your favorite picture hanging on the fireplace.
The one that always makes you feel happy.
In the left fall corner there's a big comfy chair that you like to sit on with one of your favorite blankets.
There's books that you like to read or different tapes and things that you can listen to.
There's a table next to that chair where you keep your board games and different games that you want to play.
In the other corner on the left there's a shelf with a small tv on top.
You can play your video games there if you want to.
And the shelf has all of your games and all of the things that you need to do that.
On the other side of the room towards the right there's a really big comfortable looking bed.
With two tables on either side of it where you can keep your hot chocolate.
Something you especially like.
There's a nice big rug in the middle of the room that feels warm and soft and comfortable underneath your feet.
Because normally the first thing you do is kick off your socks and your shoes.
You walk across the room.
There's an area where you can make your hot chocolate and that's what you start to do.
You put the kettle on,
Get your favorite mug,
And make yourself a drink.
Tonight you're super super tired so you know exactly what you want to do.
When the hot chocolate is ready you take it over and put it on the table next to your bed.
You're wearing comfortable clothes so you lay down on your bed.
As soon as you lay down it feels really soft underneath your body.
Welcoming,
Cozy.
This cabin always feels so good.
The smell of the fireplace,
The smell of the hot chocolate.
They're just smells and scents that make you feel calm and comfortable.
You can smell the clean sheets on your bed.
You grab a hold of one of your favorite blankets that's at the bottom of the bed and pull it over your body.
It's time for you to relax and go to sleep.
The thing about this cabin is it always helps you with your crazy,
Hectic,
Chaotic thoughts.
At night time there's always so much to think about.
What happened in the day,
What might happen tomorrow,
What might not happen tomorrow,
What you said today,
What you could have said instead,
What you should have done instead.
You know that your mind can go a little bit crazy at night when you get into bed.
This cabin,
This cabin helps you to see that all of that can just wait.
So when you close your eyes in bed the first thing that starts to happen is your thoughts.
They start to come but then this cabin helps you to reset that.
It helps you to go,
Uh-oh,
No,
No,
There's no point.
Tomorrow will be tomorrow.
Today was today.
That's your favorite saying.
Tomorrow will be tomorrow and today was today.
Today has already been and gone so there you go,
That's that.
And tomorrow,
Well,
You can trust yourself that you're going to be able to handle whatever tomorrow brings.
This allows you to take a nice big deep breath.
And as you breathe out you start to let your body relax.
You do one of your favorite relaxation processes where you start to think just about your feet.
You don't think about anything else.
Feel your feet.
Feel outside of your feet,
The blanket on your feet.
Feel how soft the blanket feels,
The weight of the blanket.
Feel inside of your feet.
See if you can really,
Really zone in and feel a tingling sensation in your feet.
Maybe it feels like a pulse in sensation or a vibration that you can feel in your toes and your feet.
And then you move your attention into your ankles.
You pay attention to everything that you can feel in your ankles.
That's all you're thinking about.
How heavy and relaxed your feet and your ankles are.
How nice it is to lay down and be still and quiet.
You think about your heavy,
Heavy legs.
How tired your legs feel.
Your calf muscles.
How they relax and soften into the surface of your bed.
How nice it feels to just let your legs get super,
Super heavy.
Like they're melting into the bed.
And the bed is supporting you,
Keeping you safe.
Every time you breathe in,
You think about breathing in this big wave of relaxation.
And every time you breathe out,
You let go of anything in your body that doesn't feel good.
Maybe it's thoughts or feelings.
Whatever.
You are capable of just exhaling them out of your body.
And every time you breathe out,
You feel like your body's melting deeper and deeper.
Relaxing more and more.
Every breath.
You relax your hips.
They get nice and heavy into the bed.
Your back feels heavy and relaxed and comfortable.
In your mind,
You can imagine all of the vertebrae aligned,
Comfy.
Just like a jigsaw puzzle,
All fitting together.
Feeling super,
Super perfect.
Just right.
Your abdomen feels soft.
It's not tense.
It's soft and comfortable.
No stress.
This cabin eliminates all of your stress.
The muscles across your chest and in your shoulders get really warm and soft and relaxed.
You imagine that that relaxation is rolling down over your shoulders.
Rolling down into the tops of your arms.
Rolling down towards your elbows.
Everything that this relaxation comes into contact with gets softer and more and more relaxed.
It rolls down towards your wrists.
All the way down into your hands.
As if it's dripping off the tips of your fingers.
So your hands feel so heavy.
Your arms feel so,
So heavy and comfortable.
Your whole body is starting to feel very,
Very sleepy.
So relaxed.
The back of your neck,
The back of your head,
Relaxes.
Your head gets really heavy and relaxes down.
Deeper into your soft,
Cozy pillow.
The top of your head relaxes.
It's like standing under a nice,
Warm shower.
Imagining that the warm water is flowing down over the top of your head.
Softening all of the tension lines across your forehead.
Melting away any tension that you might have around your eyes.
It relaxes your cheeks.
Your jaw softens.
Your shoulders get even heavier from the warm,
Relaxing shower.
You can feel the warm water rolling down the back of your head.
Down onto the back of your neck.
All the way down the back of your body.
The warm water runs down the front of your body.
Relaxing everything it comes into contact with.
This is how relaxed you feel laid in bed in your cabin.
It's so hard to stay awake here.
You get so,
So comfortable.
You don't have to stay awake.
You can just let your body fall.
Let your body fall into a deep,
Comfortable sleep.
You always get the type of sleep here in the cabin that makes you feel so refreshed and renewed the next day.
Your whole body feels recharged as if you could handle anything that comes your way.
So you sleep.
The crackling sound of the fireplace,
The smell of your hot cocoa,
Everything is perfect.
Just let yourself fall to sleep.
Deep,
Deep sleep.
