As teens we have specific worries and anxieties that can feel very heavy, sometimes even overwhelming, let this relaxing guided meditation take you away from all that into a magical place of healing. Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Try and lay down in a comfortable position on your bed.

If you're practicing doing seated meditations then go ahead and sit in a comfortable position.

But let's just assume that you're going to listen to this before you go to sleep.

So it's probably best if you lay down and get comfortable.

Close your eyes.

When we meditate,

When we close our eyes metaphorically,

It's like the beginning of your journey.

And every time you meditate,

You're journeying into a different state of consciousness,

A different state of feeling and awareness.

So by closing your eyes,

You're closing out the world,

The physical world around you.

And you're intentionally going into another world,

Another realm that lives inside of your mind.

You're at that age now where you can understand this.

So to get to a different state of energy or a different state of consciousness,

We have to change the vibrational energy that's inside of our body.

So when you start to slow down your breathing without realizing you're changing the energy inside of your body,

It feels like you're slowing it down.

But in reality,

You're actually speeding up the energy inside of your body.

You're making it lighter.

And when it's lighter,

It vibrates faster.

So even though your breath is really slow,

You're actually changing the density inside of your body.

You're speeding things up so that you can travel and journey into other states of consciousness.

And that's what we're going to do today.

So as I speak to you,

Make sure that you're taking long,

Slow,

Deep breaths here in the beginning.

Really breathe down into the base of your tummy.

Nice,

Long,

Slow exhales out of your mouth.

Breathing in through your nose and out of your mouth.

Starting to change that vibration inside of you.

Keep doing that.

Now let's talk about your reality in the physical world.

You're probably dealing with school.

You're probably dealing with friends and different relationships.

You might even have a boyfriend or a girlfriend.

You could be dealing with issues with your family.

Maybe you're not getting on with one of your parents right now,

Your mom or your dad.

You might not be getting on with your caretaker or your grandma,

Whoever it is that generally looks after you from day to day.

As a teenager,

These are the relationships that start to get more complexed because this is what your world is all about.

All you have is these relationships.

It's not like you're worrying about paying bills or raising children or saving your marriage.

Your worries are all in your relationships.

Maybe your grades,

School,

Friends,

Boyfriend or girlfriend,

Mom or dad,

That kind of thing.

These relationships can be very intense at this age.

During this meditation,

I want you to imagine that you're leaving all that behind.

You've closed your eyes.

All of that physical world and all of its real problems and worries and stresses are on the outside.

You've closed your eyes and gone in.

You're going on a journey.

To go on that journey successfully,

We need to be able to relax our body and slow down our thinking.

Your breathing is doing a good job at starting to send signals to your brain that it's time to relax.

Breathing is good in the world.

You're safe.

Your nice,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breaths is making your body start to feel comfortable and relaxed.

The next thing that you want to do is just check your body.

Check in with your body by feeling it.

Feel the different sensations in your legs,

Your feet.

Notice your hands,

Your torso,

Your head.

As you breathe slowly,

Start to just zone in on different parts of your body.

See if you can imagine that your breath is traveling to those different parts of your body and when it hits your legs or your breath flows into your feet.

Imagine that your breath has this magical potion attached to it that is very deeply relaxing.

Your breath travels down to your feet and the magic starts to happen and your feet get heavy and relax.

Your breath travels into your legs.

The magic flow of relaxation makes your legs feel heavy and tired.

Imagine your breath is traveling through your arms all the way down to your hands.

The magical flow of relaxation relaxes your fingers,

Your palms,

The wrists,

The elbows,

All the way up to your shoulders.

Breathe into your body,

Your torso and imagine everything is relaxing in your torso.

Your tummy is softening.

Your chest muscles are softening.

Relax your shoulders.

And finally soften your head into your pillow.

Imagine that there's a door there in front of your mind.

It's a white door.

The door has four panels,

Two on the top and two on the bottom.

There's a door knob that's silver over on the right side of the door.

We're not going to go through the door just yet but I want to tell you what's on the other side.

On the other side of this door you're going to walk into a room that's full of crystals.

Crystal walls,

Crystal floor,

Crystal ceiling.

They look like chairs in the room and they're made of crystals.

Everything is crystals in this room.

I'm going to count to three and then you'll walk through the doorway and close the door behind you and find yourself in the crystal room.

Counting to three.

One,

Two,

Three.

Look down at your feet and if you're wearing anything on your feet,

Take your shoes or your socks off.

Just kick them off so that you're barefoot standing on the crystal floor.

The energy in this room is really,

Really electric and magnetic.

There's like a humming almost from all of the power and the energy that's buzzing away and churning away in the crystal walls and the crystal floor and the crystal ceiling.

The energy of this room is so powerful.

It's powerful because it's purifying,

Cleansing,

Energizing,

Protecting all at the same time.

It's like you're coming into this room of crystals and it's as if your whole body would be going through a heavy duty wash in the washing machine.

You instantly start to feel the energy of the floor and your toes and the base of your feet.

Feeling that you can feel tingling sensations starting to come up into your body.

The intensity and the power of the crystals all around you are so bright.

You raise your hands out as if someone is going to give you something.

You just raise them up in front of you.

Palms facing up to the ceiling,

Open wide,

Ready to receive.

You start to feel the energy of the room falling into your hands like rain.

Really tune in to the sensations in the tips of your fingers.

It'll feel like a buzzing,

Tingling,

Tickling sensation.

You start to feel that in the whole palm of your hands as if the energy is just raining down into your hands.

Instinctively you lift your hands up and put them over your head as if you're pouring the most beautiful crystal clear water over your face and your body.

You put your arms back out and gather the energy in front of you.

You feel the tingles in your hands and your fingertips.

It feels like they're full once again.

When you raise your hands up to your head,

Hold them above the top of your scalp and pour the rain of energy down into your being as if you're showering yourself with this energy.

It feels so good.

You're cleansing your thoughts,

You're cleansing your body,

You're rejuvenating your energy and your soul.

If you've been feeling depleted or sad or hurt,

All of those feelings are starting to just melt away.

This crystal room is so powerful and healing.

Start to think about everything you want to let go of.

Start to think about everything that stresses you out just for a second to bring it to the surface of your thoughts but then don't dive into it.

Just bring it up to the surface of your thoughts as if you're taking it up to the top of your head and then once again you're washing it away.

Just wash those thoughts away.

Imagine you're washing away your insecurities,

You're washing away any kind of body dysmorphia that you have,

All of those parts of you that compare yourself to everyone else,

It's all being just washed away.

Those thoughts that you have sometimes that you're not good enough or you can never do enough right,

You're always doing something wrong,

Just wash them away.

Use this room to take all of that heaviness away from you.

Use this room to just be free.

Be free from all of that back in the real world.

Imagine you're starting to get shiny clean,

The light inside of you starting to get brighter and brighter.

Imagine that your light is so bright that you can cope with anything,

It's all just stuff.

Imagine it's just stuff that you need to work through,

There's no need to get so stressed,

No need to take it so seriously,

It's just stuff right,

Small stuff,

Think of it like that and you're capable of sorting through any of it.

As your light gets brighter and brighter and brighter inside of you,

You start to feel more like yourself.

It's washing away all of that doubt,

All of that discomfort.

Imagine that light is just making you shine brighter and brighter,

Feeling more confident,

More secure in yourself,

More able to cope with your reality.

This crystal room is helping you to feel perfect and whole and complete,

Just the way that you are.

It's helping you to see how good you are,

To see all the good stuff inside of you.

You are worth it,

You are perfect,

You are awesome.

No matter what's going on in the real world,

Don't ever forget that you're awesome.

Now imagine that you're staying in this crystal room listening to this nice music for as long as you need to.

You can imagine that you lay down on the ground even and start to fall asleep so that you can stay here all night,

Just rest,

Let your light shine bright for as long as you need to.
