In many cultures,
Rainbows are a symbol of hope.
They appear as inspiring perfect arcs,
Just after a rainstorm,
Displaying as an array of brilliant colors.
But what most people do not know,
Is that a rainbow is actually a full circle,
Half of its beauty falling where you cannot see.
You would have to zoom out far above to see its totality.
There are so many gifts in what I do.
It is my honor to hold your heart each week,
To guide you to that place of going within,
To breathe lightness and air into the dark space just below your horizon.
So let's begin by breathing deeply into your belly as you let your eyes gently close,
Envisioning the air from each inhale encircling your heart with its warmth,
Filling your chest and your heart space with the inner peace that we all crave.
Falling a little deeper into a relaxed state with every exhale,
Taking a moment to mentally step away from the pressure and the demands that may be surrounding you,
To pause,
To center your attention within yourself,
Letting your breath find a gentle and natural rhythm now,
To how it feels to take care of yourself for just a moment or two.
We can't possibly know everything that's happening in the places we cannot see,
Just below our horizon.
It is not until it hits the surface that we witness the magic in the bloom,
Not knowing how life will unfold or how things are fitting together can feel scary and uncertain.
But what if just for today,
You trust everything that's happening in places and spaces you cannot see,
Within the seasons of waiting,
When your roots are growing deep down into the rich soil of your soul,
I ask you to continue to lean into the things that feel good in your heart.
For it is within these actions we can nurture what we cannot see.
Drink water,
Go for a walk,
Believe in yourself,
Practice gratitude,
Practice breathing,
Embrace change as growth,
It's my belief that the universe doesn't want you to try harder,
It just wants you to breathe,
Let go,
Be open to things being easier,
And to nourish everything that's already planted within.
Most people don't know that rainbows are actually full circles,
Half of its beauty falling where you cannot see.
People are like that too.
Take a final deep breath in,
And as you do,
Feel the roots growing deeper and deeper into your soul.
And on the exhale,
Open your eyes.
