Find yourself comfortably lying in bed with your eyes gently closed.
Start by welcoming any subtle shifts in how your body is positioned,
Giving yourself permission to settle and soften,
And encouraging yourself to settle a little more still by taking a few slow deep breaths.
Breathing in through your nose slowly and with each exhale.
Find yourself sinking a little deeper,
Encouraging each breath to become longer.
Noticing now how your exhales are lasting longer than your breath in,
Feeling your body lighten as you breathe.
Notice the temperature of your breath as you inhale,
Feeling the warmth you created on the exhale.
So,
As you take another long slow breath in,
Filling up completely with safety and trust.
And as you breathe out,
Let go of what you no longer need.
Let go of anything that is no longer serving you.
It is up to you to allow the sensations of relaxation to go deeper.
You can allow any remaining tension to flow from your body,
To have it leave completely.

Or maybe you've found yourself on an inviting forest trail,
A pathway created by dark earthy soil and majestic trees with vibrant branches.
Whatever this place looks like for you,
It's perfect.
Take time to let the details of this place unfold in your mind.
Feel your body in a state of calm and stillness.
This place is your personal inner sanctuary,
Your ideal place for rejuvenating your body and mind.
As you begin to see yourself in detail,
Start to imagine yourself safely standing at the top of ten steps leading down.
And in a moment,
As I begin to count down from ten to one,
You will effortlessly descend the stairs as you go deeper into a state of relaxation.
Finding yourself on step ten now.
You are aware of how relaxed you have already become.
The private sanctuary is a place that feels good to explore yourself,

You can safely explore different parts with your curiosity,
Compassion,
And love.
And finally,
Down to step one.
You are all the way down.
You have unlocked the deepest state of relaxation.
You have compassion and love for yourself.
You see your soul for who it is.
You are healing.
You have an internal knowing of who and what you are meant for in this lifetime.
And still,
You can go deeper.
There is nothing more for you to do.
No thoughts to be had.
