Clayton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Malta, a Postgraduate Diploma in Mindfulness Studies from the University of Aberdeen, and a PhD in Mindfulness from the same institution. He is an approved teacher for MBLC (Mindfulness-Based Living Course) and CBLC (Compassion-Based Living Course). Additionally, Clayton serves as a counselling sessional, teaching mindfulness and meditation at the University of Malta Health and Wellness Centre Counseling Unit. Clayton adopts a teaching approach rooted in both 1st Generation and 2nd Generation Mindfulness interventions. His primary interests encompass the application of mindfulness for general well-being, exploring the intersection between secular and contemplative practices in mindfulness meditation, researching the boundary conditions influencing mindfulness application in psychological well-being, understanding the mechanisms driving change in mindfulness practice, and investigating potential adverse effects.
