So get yourself settled into your space.
Noticing how your body feels right now in this moment.
Bringing a bit of softness into your face,
Into your shoulders.
And consciously relaxing any place in your body that you think needs to be relaxed.
And now bring your attention to your breath.
Just noticing the natural rhythm of your breath for now.
And now consciously deepening and softening that in-breath.
And on the exhale making it slightly longer than usual.
And again taking a couple of longer,
Slower conscious breaths.
Bringing yourself fully into this moment.
And just notice how your full body feels.
How your back feels.
Supported by the chair or maybe the bed.
Noticing how your legs feel.
No judgement,
Just noticing.
How your head feels.
And with each new exhale bring attention to a part of your body that might feel tense or that normally feels tense.
So maybe breathing in and on the out-breath relaxing your belly.
And relaxing your jaw.
Breathing in and relaxing your forehead.
And tell yourself in this moment I'm safe to let go.
Bring your attention now to your mind.
Your brilliant mind.
Your mind that's always working on your behalf.
Your mind that puts so much effort into everything.
Trying to figure things out for you.
Planning.
Fixing.
Holding everything together.
And just notice the thoughts.
Not fighting them,
Not pushing them away.
I want you to imagine all of the thoughts that buzz around your head.
All of that heaviness.
I want you to take them all.
And hand them over to something greater than you.
Maybe it's your higher self.
Your wisdom,
Your intuition.
Just hand them over.
Picture those hands carrying those thoughts away.
And placing them in a little stream.
And watch the water of the stream carry the thoughts downstream.
Just allow the flow of the water to take the thoughts.
And just repeat to yourself,
I don't have to figure everything out.
Clarity will come when I create the space.
Now bring your attention to your chest.
You can place a hand on your heart if that feels good.
And just imagine a warm light glowing from your heart.
A soft golden light.
Remember that this is the part of you that knows how to surrender.
This is the part of you that knows that you're not meant to carry everything yourself.
Carry all of life around.
And as this light in your chest starts to expand.
Just allow yourself to release the emotional weight you're carrying.
The pressure,
The expectations,
All the shoulds.
With each breath just feel your chest loosen a little.
And repeat the following words.
I let go of what no longer supports me.
I soften my grip.
And I trust everything that's unfolding.
Now I want you to walk towards that stream.
And just step inside it.
And as you walk towards the centre of the stream it gets a little deeper.
But you know you're safe.
You're being held.
You're being minded.
And just feel the water flow around you.
That's scary,
It's a beautiful feeling.
Refreshing.
The sun is in the sky and you can feel it on your face.
Birds are singing around you.
The water is warm and your feet feel steady.
And you step a little deeper,
Again feeling safe and supported.
And the water starts to lift some of that heaviness.
Holding some of the weight of your body.
Allow it.
Surrender.
Allow the water to take some of that weight.
You are always supported by something bigger.
You can always lean in for support.
And repeat,
I allow life to meet me halfway.
I trust the flow of life.
I surrender to what's coming my way.
Take a big deep breath and on the exhale just allow everything to feel softer and easier.
You're not holding that burden.
You're allowing life to support you.
You're allowing the flow of life,
That natural flow,
To come and go.
And you still feel safe.
Your mind is clearer.
Your heart is softer.
And when you surrender,
Creativity,
Solutions,
Intuition,
And more ease and flow come into your life.
Imagine stepping out of that water,
Shaking yourself down like a dog,
Feeling lighter,
Clearer,
Softer,
More compassionate towards yourself.
And take a big long slow deep breath in.
And exhale.
Once again,
Big long slow deep breath in.
And exhaling,
Coming back into your room,
Into the space,
Noticing your back against the back of the chair,
Your feet on the ground,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And when you're ready,
Opening your eyes,
Ready to have a fabulous inner day.
