Good morning and welcome to this new day.
Time for you to fully wake up and start your day in a mindful and positive way.
I spent a lot of my life sleeping through mornings,
Passing hours of my life asleep when I should have been awake,
Experiencing,
Enjoying,
Embracing life.
It was only when someone suggested I do the calculation of how much of my life I was spending asleep that spurred me to make a change.
Now don't get me wrong,
It didn't happen overnight.
I didn't change the habit of a lifetime instantly,
But I did start the yearning and the knowing that my life would be so much better if I experienced more mornings.
Bird song,
Soft light and stillness await you each morning.
A time to be peaceful,
Time to be still,
Time to just be.
If you haven't done so already,
Close over your eyes and bring your body and mind into the moment with a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Relax into your space,
Embracing this time,
Slowing to experience this moment this morning.
Inhaling the fresh morning air and exhaling any tension from yesterday.
Inhaling fresh positivity and exhaling any irritation,
Frustration.
Inhaling beauty and truth.
Exhaling yesterday's regrets.
Inhaling presence and hope.
Inhaling failure and disappointment.
You see this morning is unlike any other morning.
This morning sees a new you,
A different you.
A more awake,
A more present,
A more calm you.
A grateful you.
You know you are one of the lucky ones.
You get to breathe,
To feel,
To experience another beautiful day.
You get to love,
To hug and to smile once again today.
So in this state of peaceful appreciation,
Let us set an intention for the day ahead.
Let's commit to making this day count.
Let's commit to start fresh today.
To leave yesterday and yesterday and to live fully today.
This day is for peace,
For contentment,
For love.
This day is for gratitude,
Grateful that we get to do it all again.
Breathing in fresh morning air and breathing out yesterday's tension.
Breathing in fresh positivity and exhaling irritation and frustration.
Inhaling beauty and truth.
Exhaling yesterday's regrets.
Inhaling presence and hope.
Exhaling failure and disappointment.
This day,
This morning is a special morning.
A morning where you wake up a little more.
A morning where you get to experience what it is to be alive,
To be free and to choose.
So consciously feel all there is to be grateful for.
A new day,
A new experience,
A new opportunity to live more fully.
You get to consciously create a new energy for this day.
Now thank yourself for making this time and space to practice.
For choosing how you want this day to begin.
Really feel the gratitude and just stay with that emotion for a moment or two.
Giving thanks,
Appreciating,
Feeling grateful.
Gratitude is such a powerful and beautiful emotion,
One that we should practice as often as we remember.
