This practice is adapted from my book, "Embodiment and the treatment of eating disorders: The body as a resource in recovery" (Cook-Cottone, WW Norton, 2020). Use the meditation when you are feeling an urge to have symptoms or if you want to watch a big wave of emotion come and go. Imagine yourself as a surfer- riding the wave. Remember, this too shall pass.
