Today I want to offer you a meditation on bowing in.
Bowing in to your life.
Bowing in to what's sacred.
Bowing in to what's uncomfortable.
And how do we do that?
How can we do that gracefully and easefully?
Including any resistance that might be showing up?
Well first of all we set that as an intention.
We set it as an intention because we know that it will serve us to bow in.
To feel whatever is in the way.
To take a big breath.
And to bow in to the sacredness.
To the beauty.
To the totality of this thing called life.
And so with that I invite you to get comfortable.
To either sit with your spine long or lay down and make yourself comfortable.
And really take this time.
Take this time for yourself.
Take this time to dive into such a deep place of internal refuge.
That you can drink.
Drink so deeply.
So taking a big drink of breath.
And then letting it go.
Letting it go.
And taking another one.
And as you do feel your body respond.
Feel your body soften.
Bowing in together.
Breath by breath.
And I want to offer you this poem.
Bow in to love.
Bow in to the touch of a lover's hand.
Bow in to the warm cuddle of a dog's furry softness.
Bow in to the pain of what ails you.
And breathe.
Bow in to the light of day as it shines softly into your tenderness.
Bow in to the taste of sweetness on your lips.
And enjoy.
Bow in to what is ungraspable.
That which is ungraspable is calling to you.
So bow in.
Take this moment and bow in.
Bow in to the warm face of your neighbor.
Bow in to the roar of the waves as they crash on the shore.
Bow in to the heat of the sand.
Bow in,
Sweet friend.
Bow in to the resounding silence of the deep woods.
And find it inside.
Inside.
Bow in to the chaos that sometimes knocks at your door.
Bow in,
Yes,
Bow in to the giggles of children playing.
Bow in and feel their innocent joy.
Feel how it lives in you.
And breathe.
And breathe.
Bow in to the wailing of someone who has lost a loved one suddenly in an accident.
Bow in to the sweet embrace of a dear friend.
And as you do,
Feel how you're held,
Yes.
Yes,
You.
You are held in love.
Feel how you're held in love.
And bow in,
Bow your head into this glorious moment.
Bow in to bird songs and trickling brooks.
Yes.
Take your time and bow in.
And as you do,
Let yourself relax and enjoy.
Enjoy this time that you,
Sweet friend,
Have taken for yourself.
Bow in to the sweet smells of springtime.
And bow in to the beautiful glow of the full moon.
And how the stars disappear in its light.
Bow in and receive this light.
For the moon is reflecting your own inner light that shines so radiantly.
And sometimes,
It's hard,
I know it is,
It's hard to feel your own radiance.
And trust me,
Trust me.
It's there.
It's just hidden.
Hidden away,
Deep inside.
So when you take your time to bow in to the mystery of love,
To the awestruck moments of shooting stars and leaping orcas,
Bow in and be touched,
Be moved.
Bow in and know that you are not separate from those shooting stars or dancing orcas.
Bow in,
Bow in and blow bubbles up into the sky and watch them as they rise and rise and rise until they pop and disappear.
Bow in to how each one of us arises,
Celebrates,
Dances,
Dreams and loves as deeply as we can.
And then we disappear.
So I invite you,
Sweet,
Sweet friends,
To bow into your life.
Bow in to a frosty morning and bow in to the crunch of snow under your feet.
Bow in to the tingling of cold winter air flowing through your nostrils.
And bow in to a warm mug of hot cocoa or your favorite tea.
Bow into the steam as it caresses your face.
And bow in to all the exquisite glory of your life,
Which includes every single time you have fallen down,
All of your failures,
Sweet friend,
All of them,
They make up with your glories,
This tapestry of your life,
Your amazing life.
So bow in,
Bow in to the pathways of love and peace,
Kindness and generosity that you have sown in your soul.
Bow in to your sadness.
We all feel sadness.
Bow in to those pockets of grief that are tucked away like crumbs tucked into a jacket that you haven't worn since last season.
Bow in,
Bow in and surrender,
Surrender to this gift that is you,
That is your beautiful heart.
Bow in as you gently and slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes and taking your time,
Luxuriate in these moments.
And then when you.
