Courage.

This is a guided lesson for finding courage,

A lesson to be absorbed and felt.

Courage is found in this guided lesson through experiencing a meditative state and the tools to create expanding habits.

Let's begin.

Sit quietly,

Close your eyes gently,

Raise your eyebrows and lower them again to relax your scalp.

Raise and then lower your shoulders and take a few lovely relaxing breaths.

One and two and three.

Let's begin your guided lesson on courage.

The French origin of the word courage is heart and the Latin origin is love.

Courage is defined as the spirit that enables each person to face difficulty without fear.

And to have the courage of one's convictions is to act in accordance with one's beliefs,

Especially in the face of criticism.

The antonym of courage is cowardice and cowardice is defined as a lack of courage to face life's difficulties.

And here's what happens to your personal energy,

Whether you are experiencing courage or succumbing to cowardice.

In each moment of each day,

Your personal energy is changing as you respond to the experiences of your life.

Your energy collapses inward toward your body and expands outward away from your body,

Depending on what is going on around you and also inside of you.

Imagine yourself existing in the middle of an energetic balloon.

Imagine your balloon filling with air being blown up when you are experiencing positive,

Expanding energy.

Now feel the air escaping from your balloon as you experience negative energy.

Feel your energy collapse in toward your body and take a moment to feel this expansion and to feel this collapse.

When you are experiencing positive,

Expanding energy,

You feel good.

You experience positive emotions and you feel well.

All of the good things in life are possible in positive,

Expanding energy,

Health,

Happiness,

Success,

And courage.

In expanding energy,

You are connected to source energy,

To your higher self,

To your innate wisdom.

You think clearly.

You make good decisions.

You find solutions to problems that lead to great outcomes and you find your courage.

When you are experiencing negative,

Collapsed energy,

You feel bad.

You experience negative emotions,

Also feel unwell.

All of the struggles of your life come from negative,

Collapsed energy.

You are disconnected from source,

Disconnected from your higher self,

Disconnected from your innate wisdom.

You just can't think straight.

You make bad decisions.

You cannot find solutions to problems.

You experience negative outcomes,

Block creativity,

And of course you experience cowardice.

When courage is lacking,

Procrastination occurs.

Self-doubt and a lack of enthusiasm are constant companions.

But having courage means not being afraid of making mistakes.

It also means jumping in.

It means beginning.

It means being the best that you can be.

It also means loving yourself enough to try,

Telling yourself that you don't have to do it perfectly,

And having fun while you're doing your learning.

Courage is starting where you are.

Courage is doing what you can,

And courage is letting the experience unfold perfectly as it must.

Here's what happens in your body when you're experiencing courage.

There are happy chemicals within your body,

And one of these is dopamine,

A happy chemical that motivates you to take action towards your goals,

Your dreams,

Your desires.

Dopamine gives you a surge of pleasure when you achieve things,

And it is triggered when something good happens.

And when you have courage,

When you take a step towards your dreams,

Towards your purpose,

You release this happy chemical,

Dopamine.

And you are reprogramming for courage in this meditative state,

And you can build your courage through habit,

Through using specific tools.

The first tool for building courage is writing goals and creating a vision for your life,

Courageously creating a dream.

The second tool for building courage is rewarding yourself for the milestones for achieving the steps along the way,

Specifically and deliberately reward and love yourself in ways that make you feel good.

So let's take a moment to bring your attention back to your breath.

Take a few deep breaths.

One,

And two,

And three.

And rub your hands together and rub the back of your neck to bring you back to reality.

It's always a good idea to journal your inspiration and your ideas after a guided lesson.

So why don't you take a few moments to do this now.

Wishing you so much joy,

Dr.

Deborah.
