But along the way we're often faced with unexpected challenges that can sometimes put us off and we give up. But when we have a deeper understanding and context for our experiences it helps us to navigate those challenges, so we can find that peace, growth, awakening or healing that we came for. Through this course you will gain a deeper understanding of the essential foundations of the practice and the process of meditation. You'll learn what meditation is, how and why it works in a very simple, practical and tangible way so you confidently navigate the various challenges and questions that can come up along your journey.

Our mind often likes to complicate things (especially in meditation). In this lesson you’ll discover the beauty and simplicity of the process of meditation. When you understand the process and how it works, you can then keep it simple.

Quietening The Mind And Navigating Expectations
One of the challenges we face in meditation, especially in the early stages is around expectations. If you’ve ever wondered if meditation doesn’t work for you it’s possible you have an expectation that’s getting in the way. In this lesson you’ll understand helpful and not so helpful expectations, and how to navigate them if they come up in your meditation practice.

What Is Meditation?
Many people come to meditation because they know it can help them in some aspect of their life, but that doesn’t mean they know what it is. One of the reasons people meditate is to achieve relaxation. But meditation is far more than a technique of relaxation. Relaxation is a by-product of meditation. In this lesson you’ll understand why meditation is not relaxation, but that is why it works.

An Important Phase Of Meditation
In this lesson you’ll understand an important part of meditation that is sometimes overlooked and underestimated. It’s important because if we ignore it, it can limit the benefits we receive from our practice. But when we pay attention to this part of meditation very consciously it can deepen our practice by helping us to really feel and understand the power of our mind.

Set Yourself Up For Success
Besides understanding the practice and process itself, as we’ve learned in the previous lessons, there are also several other things to keep in mind on your meditation journey. In this lesson I’ll share with you a few tips to help you set yourself up for a deeper meditation practice.

The reason I loved this course is because of the clarity it brought me about meditation. This course explains the fundamentals of meditation in the deepest way I’ve experienced so far.
