Hello,
My name is Amy Patti.
Welcome to my sacred sight of you guided meditation practice,
Where you are the destination and your best life is the journey.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
In today's meditation,
We'll be traveling down to the root chakra,
Which is located at the base of the spine,
And we're going to be activating the feeling of being supported.
So go ahead and come into a comfortable seat and go ahead and allow your eyes to close and just begin to settle in here.
Making a connection to your breath and taking a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Just feeling yourself beginning to let go,
Letting go into this moment.
Feeling all the muscles of your body softening,
Letting your shoulders hang nice and heavy.
And feel the weight of your jaw releasing with gravity.
Being connected to your breath,
Begin to invite the breath all the way down into the space of your belly.
As you breathe into your belly,
Just allow it to open up and take up some space.
Stay with that movement of the breath here in the belly.
Feeling your internal organs,
Your digestive organs beginning to relax.
And again,
Just allowing the abdominal muscles to become a little softer.
Breathing so deep that each time you inhale,
The belly expands.
Each time you exhale,
The belly releases and relaxes.
Now begin to bring your awareness a little bit deeper into the body,
All the way down into the space of your pelvis.
Feel yourself beginning to really arrive home right here in your own seat.
You may even be able to feel that movement of the breath now in the space of your pelvis.
Maybe sensing a similar expansion through the pelvis as you breathe in.
And just a softening and releasing of your pelvis as you breathe out.
Shift your awareness into the base of your spine.
And as you breathe in,
Direct that breath all the way down to the tip of your tailbone.
Right here at the tip of your tailbone is the sacred site of your root chakra,
Muladhara chakra.
Really feeling into this energetic space right here at the base of your spine.
Breathing in nice and deeply,
Letting the breath reach all the way down to this foundational place inside of you.
And as you exhale,
Feel any tension,
Any holding through this area beginning to release.
The root chakra helps us connect deeply into our own bodies and to the earth.
It helps us begin to really bond with the earth in a healthy way.
Let that energy at the base of your spine begin to spread out and feel into your hips.
Dissolving any tension that you notice right here in your hip joints.
And as you breathe in,
Let your awareness spread out through the legs and all the way down into your feet.
And then noticing the parts of your body that are in contact with the floor.
And imagine you can actually breathe into these parts of your body.
Breathing into this connection with the floor beneath you.
And then really sensing into the floor.
And you could even go deeper.
You could sense all the way down into the earth and just noticing how that feels to you today.
Does the floor feel stable?
Does it feel thick enough?
Does it feel sturdy enough for you?
Can you trust the floor beneath you to hold you up?
Can you trust the earth beneath you to have your back to hold you up?
Take a nice deep breath breathing in.
And as you exhale,
See if you can let your entire body just lean into the floor a little bit more.
Letting your entire body let go into the support of the earth a little bit more.
And you sense how you are supported.
How the earth is holding you up.
Breathing in nice and deeply.
Breathing out completely.
Leaning into the support of the earth beneath you.
Letting go of any unnecessary tension in the body,
Stress in the body as you allow the earth to just hold you up.
To give you support.
Now bring your awareness back to the tip of your tailbone,
The base of your spine.
And say silently or out loud to yourself,
I am supported.
Let that affirmation really settle into your bones.
It's almost as if you're saying to your bones,
I am supported.
Take a deep breath in.
Full breath out.
Affirming that once more.
Saying to yourself,
I am supported.
Feel yourself speaking that to every cell in your body.
I am supported.
Again,
Deep breath in.
Breathing out,
Leaning into that support of the earth.
Regardless of whether or not you feel supported in your day to day life.
Maybe on the job or in your family or with your friends.
Maybe there's a lack of support.
But right now,
In this moment,
Allow yourself to feel into the truth that the earth has you.
It's holding you up right now.
Take that in.
Breathe it in and receive it.
Take one more nice deep breath here.
Breathing into your entire body.
Exhaling out completely.
Do a little check in here.
Just noticing how you feel.
After tapping into your root chakra,
Your energetic base.
Activating this feeling of support.
Sealing in your practice by bringing your palms to press at the front of your chest.
Bow your head in gratitude.
Giving thanks to this support that is always available to you.
The support from the earth.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and let it go through an open mouth.
Just releasing,
Surrendering,
Letting go.
Thank you so much for taking this time today to get grounded and to access a feeling of support that you can bring with you now into the rest of your day.
My wish for you is to feel deeply,
Deeply supported in all aspects of your life.
