Hey there.
Welcome to a hit of hope.
It's hard to find the hope right now.
It's hard to find the light,
To know what to do.
To walk through this time.
A time I don't think any of us could have imagined.
Here we are.
And I actually mean here we are.
We are making a choice.
To ground our bodies.
To bring some quiet to our spirits.
Because we were not meant to experience all of this.
The in your face all the time.
Our bodies,
Our nervous systems were not built for this.
And so we must do what we can to take care.
Your center.
And that might be the hardest thing to do.
We're up in our heads,
Our hearts are hurting.
If it helps,
Take a deep breath in.
And let it all go.
Let's do that two more times.
Draw the breath into your center.
And oh dear heart,
Let it go.
One more time,
Breathe in.
And gently let go.
And if there are some big emotions coming up.
For me,
That's sometimes what meditation is for.
To provide this safe space.
This container.
To hold that which I do not know how to hold.
So whatever arises.
Let it be.
Let it surface.
Knowing that we are here together.
Breathing.
Grounding.
Holding on.
To our centers.
There is no easy answer.
To any of this.
There is no one right way forward.
For any of us.
One thing we can do is this.
To bring our bodies and spirits.
To a quiet space.
Where we can sit.
And breathe.
Bring your attention to your forehead.
See if you can bring some softness there.
And now your eyes.
And your jaw.
And your mouth.
Allow there to be a gentle energy.
And now feel your neck.
It might be holding on so tight.
That's okay.
It's understandable.
But if you can.
Imagine that that tension.
Is softening and melting.
Feel your shoulders dropping.
As if you are taking off your muscular armor.
If it feels okay.
Right here and right now.
Let there be a softening.
In your heart space.
Trust the breath in.
Feel.
And soften.
It is carrying so much.
So if there is any of it.
You can let go of.
Right here and right now.
Do that.
Gently and fiercely.
Your open heart.
Is what brings love.
Into this world.
That is hurting right now.
And if you don't have the energy to do that.
Then hold that love inside.
For you.
For your body.
Your spirit.
And now drop down into your belly.
Your gut.
That place of deep knowing.
And wisdom.
Where your light.
And energy.
Reside.
Your light is there.
It might be dim.
It might be flickering.
But keep drawing your breath.
In and out.
Of your body.
Feed.
Your flame.
Let it grow steady.
Whatever else is happening.
Hold on.
To your light.
Root your body.
Onto this earth.
This earth of ours.
Is beautiful and fierce.
Wise.
And real.
Let that earth energy feed you.
Ground you.
Sustain you.
And hold you.
As you rest.
Here.
Breathe.
Into your body.
Find rest.
And ease.
Breathe in.
Stay.
With the breath.
Drop into your center.
It's where your light lives.
And in this darkest of worlds right now.
As we all do what we can.
To live light.
And shine.
