This is a track to support you in letting love in and surrendering into the sweetness that is all around.
It's not a formal practice for you to do.
There is no need to try harder to be loved.
We're going to simply soften.
And open and receive and rejoice in the goodness that is all around us.
So rest down.
And soften the back of your body.
Let your shoulder blades slink down your back.
Place your palms face up in your lap,
Your hands open to receive.
Let the area around your heart soften some.
Let your gaze drop.
Let your breathing become a little deeper.
Soften one area of tension you find in your body.
Find yourself coming home in the here and now.
Often when we go looking for love.
It has us all frantic.
We can get caught up in notions of scarcity.
We have to reach and do and struggle and strive.
That love is out there somewhere outside of us.
That if we were just good enough,
We'd finally earn it.
We'd finally feel the feelings.
It's really right that we try and be good people.
Don't get me wrong.
And yet,
I want to invite in the sense of intrinsic goodness and being loved just as you are.
Right here,
Right now,
Whatever your life looks like,
Whatever your relationships look like.
Take a deepening breath.
And breathe out slow and low.
And bring your attention to your heart.
Your dear Honey Hutt.
And invite it to soften some.
Invited to drop its armor.
Often there's so much love all around us and we can be defended.
Blocking it out,
Busy,
Striving,
Seeking.
Gently invite your heart to open.
Your belly to soften.
Dare to let love in.
Love is not a perfect thing given by a perfect person in some perfect future moment when you finally got there and figured it out.
Love flows through us when we're here for the human experience.
We get to be loved in all of it.
When we're at our best,
When we're shining and doing great.
When we're tender and lost and feeling little and scared.
Those times,
Too,
Were so worthy of love.
To be loved is a choice that we can make.
An orientation that we can turn towards.
See if you can sense a little love all around you.
Here we are on this earth with blue sky and trees and goodness,
Winds that move,
Stars that shine.
Perhaps there's a little magic and mystery behind it all.
Perhaps that magic and mystery is called love.
See if you can soften and let some of that wonder touch your heart.
Don't let yourself feel being loved just for being here,
A human being sitting on the earth.
Simply being you.
Let love reach out and touch you.
Let yourself be tenderized.
Be open to the fact that there might be care in the universe,
That there is goodness all around.
That just because we're here we're worthy of love.
And that we can have it if we just open to receive it.
Do not make yourself wrong for your hardened heart.
It's called trauma.
We all shut down,
Get scared,
Block off.
The heart naturally pulses open and closed,
Open and closed,
Wide open to receive and shut down and scat.
It's what your heart will do,
My lovely.
And yet today.
Invite it to open.
Invited to crack some to let love in some.
Feel love all around you coming in a little closer.
Notice the way it softens you.
But maybe your head drops.
Maybe your nervous system drops.
Maybe you can sense the sweetness.
Drink this in.
Slip into it.
Feel it bathing your skin.
Might find your breath deepening more.
You might find a tiny slice of peace coming into your experience.
And as you do so,
Notice that your heart has its own light,
Its own shine.
But there is light and love within me.
Your heart has love to give,
That it wants to burn bright,
That it wants to lift people up,
That your heart loves to love,
To give itself,
To share itself.
To show itself.
So feel that bright light of your heart.
That glowing center of you.
And let it beam a little.
Be lit up by your own heart,
By your own love,
By the life force that moves through you.
Dare to let your heart be seen.
To show it some.
Dare to have your heart open.
To be a beacon.
To share yourself.
We get to practice letting love in.
We also get to practice letting love out.
Love isn't some static thing that we reach out and grab and have when we've been good enough.
It's a force in motion.
Its energy,
Its life force,
Its wonder,
Its wildness,
Its beauty.
Love is longing for love.
Love is longing to move through you,
To reach out to others through you.
To reach into you from others,
To have you be part of this place.
Love wants us to lift up,
To shine,
And to share.
This life force energy is behind all effects.
Notice that you can tap into it,
That you can orientate towards it.
That you can feel it.
That you can find it without having to get it from another.
On some level,
Love is who you are.
It does move through you,
Even though your mind gets messy.
Even though your life is wonky and wet.
Even though we can all be so human at times.
Claim the love that you are.
Stand in it.
Be with it.
So,
I thank you.
I thank you for practicing being love,
And I invite you to go forth and share,
And shine,
And live from it,
And live with it.
I want to dare you to let yourself be loved.
To let yourself be touched,
To let yourself be open.
I want today to be loved.
It really is why we're here.
And to love others.
So thank you for your potent practice.
Thank you for your human heart.
Thank you for the grace and the goodness that you are.
I wish you wildness and wonder and a day full of so much love and so much magic.
Please come back and practice with me again.
I send you so much love.
