Hey,
This is Becca and this is a meditation for creativity.
So find a nice easy seat and take a deep breath.
Let's just arrive here together in the present moment with the understanding that creative energy is already available.
It's something that's natural.
It's our birthright to be creative beings.
And connecting to your creativity is just connecting to who you already are and connecting to nature which is endlessly nourishing us with creative energy.
But the question is how open are you in this moment to receiving that creative energy and allowing it to flow through your body.
So right now let's just imagine this.
That you have channels that run from your feet.
Your feet chakras,
Your little doors there at the bottoms of your feet.
Imagine these channels run up the outsides of your legs.
They run up your legs to the base of your spine and then down the insides of your legs and out through your feet.
And we'll imagine that through these channels we can run energy like rivers washing through the body.
Washing through the energetic body.
So pick a color.
Any color.
And imagine that this color,
This energy is earth energy that is coming up now from somewhere deep within the planet.
And as you call this earth energy up those channels it starts to wash,
It starts to flow up through your legs washing out that first chakra.
Flowing down the insides and out through your feet.
And you're just seeing that image.
Seeing this image of a flow that is actually already happening.
Of a connection that is actually already there.
And as that energy flows it's washing out whatever is not in the present moment.
And let's intend to wash out of our space anywhere we have been.
Feeling stuck in our creativity.
Uninspired.
Frustrated.
And all of that just starts to wash out of your space.
With no effort.
With no need to figure anything out.
You're just seeing the image of that.
And intending to let go.
Just starting to let go into this flow.
Letting the flow work for you.
And letting it also carry out of your space that sense of I need to do it perfectly.
If I can't do it perfectly then it won't happen.
Because nothing kills creativity more than perfectionism.
And what we can intend in this meditation is to replace our perfectionism with possibility.
To connect to this creative energy that is already inside of you.
Things don't need to be perfect.
The only thing that needs to happen is you knowing that you can.
Letting that river just carry out of your space what is not yours to hold.
What does not feel like freedom in your space but is just a little too heavy or a little too tight.
Now we'll see one more visual here.
So we're running our earth energy.
And we'll also visualize now that we can run cosmic energy.
So imagine that you have two channels on either side of your spine.
So four total.
And they would actually start at the back of your head.
Running down the back body.
Running all the way down to the base of your spine.
There those channels loop up the front side of the body.
And they travel all the way up and out through the crown of the head.
Like a fountain.
And also they run down your arms and your hands which are your creative channels.
So now let's find a neutral pocket of space.
A color of vibration.
And call that down.
And start to see your cosmic energy flowing down those back channels.
Notice the color and the vibration of that energy.
And just let yourself receive that flow as it washes through your space.
Like a river washing through you.
Washing out.
Anywhere else we're feeling that stuckness.
Lack of inspiration.
Could show up as apathy,
Lethargy.
What's the point?
Whatever it is for you.
Just intending to wash it out of your space.
The idea with these tools,
With this visual,
Is to be able to actually hold space for ourselves.
For that stuckness,
For that apathy.
Whatever it is,
Can I actually turn towards that?
Allow it to exist enough so that I can be still.
Once I recognize it,
Once I'm still enough,
I can just intend to let it go.
And maybe it's multi-layered and it takes us some time.
Maybe it's something quick and easy.
But there is nothing that we can't let go of if we're still enough and if we stay put.
And if we're intent on letting that go,
We can move anything inside of us.
So as you're now running your earth and cosmic energy through your space,
Washing your space out,
Also just intend to really be with the way things are.
I don't need,
You don't need this meditation to go a certain way.
To have it be perfect.
You're not going to finish this meditation and never need to meditate again because you've done it,
You meditated,
You did it,
You're done.
We're intending instead to just let go of a layer of perfectionism here that might be keeping us frozen.
Intending to relax into this flow.
From the space below you and the space above you.
Allowing new space within you to be created.
Now imagine that earth and cosmic energy as it flows through you now is bringing into your space.
Allowing you to receive nourishment.
And that creative energy that is the source of life itself and of which you are a part.
Imagine that is flowing through your body now,
Through your legs,
Up to the base of your spine,
Down your legs,
Out through your feet,
Washing any color.
And also through those cosmic channels washing down the back,
Up the front,
Out through your hands,
Through the crown of your head like a fountain.
Notice the colors.
And notice the vibration there of inspiration and pure creative energy.
As if this battery inside of you is being recharged.
With this battery charged you feel connected to the creative energy of the earth and of the entire cosmos.
You're already a part of this.
You're just plugging into that truth in this moment.
What you're already a part of.
A quote that I love that I wish I remembered where it came from is,
Be willing to make as many mistakes as you need to make to get to where you want to go.
I think a lot of us try to do everything perfectly all the time and so we don't do as much as we want to do because we're afraid of messing it up.
But what if messing it up is a part of the creative process?
What if we have to be willing to lose our balance to even find the pose?
Thinking of yoga now.
If we're not willing to mess up then,
If we're not open to messing up then it's going to be rough trying anything.
So as we allow this earth and cosmic energy to flow through our body we're just bringing also into our space this sense of,
It's okay.
I'm just a human.
It's okay.
I'm here to learn.
If I were immediately perfect at something it would be no fun.
Can I replace perfection with possibility?
And can I feel in this moment that sense of possibility in my body?
Can you feel that in your body?
How much is possible?
The possibilities of what you can feel.
How alive we can become.
How connected.
How able are we to see the beauty in life itself and all the creativity all around us always.
The creativity of nature.
Of the elements.
And of humans.
It helps also to allow your whole life to be your creative art.
So I don't need to write my magnum opus to be an artist.
I just need to be alive.
Maybe you're involved in a project that's wonderful and maybe not.
Maybe you're allowing your creative energy to run through your space when you're cooking.
Or gardening.
Or walking.
Or just listening to music.
Or singing.
Whatever.
But it's a place we can reside in.
It's not something that happens when everybody congratulates you on your book.
And then you're an artist.
It's creative energy is a place we can reside in.
A force we can allow in to our minds and bodies and hearts.
And when we allow it to run through our space we just feel more alive.
It's fun.
It should be fun.
It can be fun.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And exhale.
And have a wonderful rest of your whatever.
Namaste.
