Hello and welcome to this new moon meditation.
You can of course do this meditation anytime because anytime is a good time to tune in,
To slow down,
And to connect with yourself.
So finding a comfortable place to sit.
Letting your body soften down into the support underneath as you take some easy breaths into the body.
It might feel good to fill up your lungs all the way and let out a sigh,
Breathing into all the tight corners of your being.
Just letting the body breathe however it wants to,
Letting go of what came before and what will come after.
Letting the sand begin to settle.
Softening the face,
The jaw,
The chest,
The belly,
Allowing the eyes to close if that feels good.
And letting the breath find a natural rhythm,
Feeling it move in the body as you drop your awareness down to where you meet the earth.
So feeling the support underneath you,
Allowing yourself to be held.
And perhaps softening the body a little bit more as you melt down into the earth.
And beginning to softly open to the mystery of this moment.
To let the center of gravity drop out of the thinking and down into the aliveness of the body.
What is here?
You might notice the physical sensations,
Temperature,
Movement.
Opening to the life that is right here,
Right now.
The new moon is a beautiful time to slow down,
To tune in.
So meet yourself right here,
Right now.
Allowing,
Softening and opening to whatever is here.
And I'll invite you to begin to tune into your heart space.
It might feel good to place a hand there or maybe just rest your awareness,
But begin to breathe into that space.
All the way to the back of your heart.
And as you breathe into your heart,
Beginning to open to sensations here.
Temperature,
Maybe tightness or openness,
Tingles,
Blank space.
And I invite you to begin to feel,
To let yourself meet whatever energy might be held here in your heart.
To really allow the waves,
However they appear,
Sensations,
Emotions,
Images,
Maybe even some stickiness from a behavior or relationship.
Just opening your heart to feel as you breathe.
Allowing the energy.
So if you could drop under the story,
Under the narrative and really feel,
Feel the movement,
The tightness,
The heat,
The tingle,
The shake.
Allow these energies,
Breathing with them,
Softening the heart,
Letting yourself feel.
And following your intuition here,
If your body wants to make sound or move or if there are words you want to speak aloud to these tender parts of you,
You have full permission to be with your experience,
To stay,
To breathe,
To feel.
The new moon is a beautiful time to let go,
To release.
So you may begin to explore,
Letting go and releasing on the exhale,
Freeing anything that is stuck or held,
Anything that wants to move that no longer serves.
Letting it go,
Letting the earth take it,
Letting the Sun and the moon hold you as you feel your heart,
As you set it free.
Continuing to use your breath and the miracle of your awareness to allow the waves,
To let them complete,
To be here with yourself in this intimate way.
Breathing into your heart,
Noticing what is there now,
Beginning to listen to your own wisdom and the wisdom of the universe.
Is there a message,
An intention,
A word?
What is here for you when you listen,
Wild one?
Trusting whatever appears,
Whatever comes,
However it does,
Even if there is nothing,
Meeting it with trust.
And letting your body soften,
Letting go of any trying or doing,
Allowing the body to melt back down into the earth,
Feeling that natural rhythm of the earth,
Of your breath,
Of your heart.
As you rest here and integrate this practice,
Trusting that you are held by the earth,
By the moon,
Trusting that you belong to this earth,
That you are here now.
Feeling the rhythm of the earth,
The rhythm of your breath,
The rhythm of your heart.
Feeling how the rhythm of life moves through you,
Trusting your belonging to it all.
