So,
Taking some time to sit down,
Make yourself comfortable,
Feet on the floor,
Hands on your lap,
Taking a slightly deeper breath in and out,
And closing the eyes,
Allowing the eyes to release,
Soften and relax,
And connect with your breathing,
The flow in and out.
I want you to drift back to a time when you felt a deep sense of happiness.
Allow your inner mind to take you back to a time when you felt a deep sense of happiness.
Remember what was going on in that moment or moments.
Where were you?
What do you see?
Who's there with you?
What do you hear?
Is there conversation?
Sounds of nature?
Music?
There might even be silence.
Are there any smells or tastes?
Remembering and imagining what you saw,
What you heard,
And what you smell or tasted,
Generates an internal feeling of happiness.
Can you feel that in this moment?
Gently hold on to that energy of happiness and gently expand it.
Sense and feel and imagine and pretend that happiness is expanding within you.
Feel it filling you.
That's right.
With a little practice,
You can close your eyes and return to this time of happiness,
Generating the same positive emotion in yourself as you had then.
And bring back this energy of happiness as you now take a gentle stretch,
A slightly deeper breath in and out.
And bringing back the happiness,
You can open your eyes and return to the day.
