This guided practice can help you release any relationship ties that you are ready to let go of. Andrea will walk you through the process of identifying any outdated or draining energetic ties, and then gently releasing them. Since you are asked to visualize a grounding cord, this meditation is best done in a seated position.

Transcript

So getting yourself into a comfortable position and feeling the surface underneath you holding you up.

See if you can allow your shoulders to relax a little bit and allow your facial muscles to soften and relax.

Just following a few natural breaths in and out.

I'd like you to imagine at the very bottom of your spine,

Right at the coccyx bone,

A beautiful golden cord dropping down.

Down beneath the surface underneath you.

Down into the foundation.

Down into the earth.

Deep deep down.

As deep as you can imagine.

Grounding your body to the earth.

And now see if you can imagine above you a beautiful orbit of light.

It could be gold or white light or any color that feels the most healing to you right now.

Imagine a warm healing light emanating from above.

Good.

Now I'd like you to think of someone in your life who you've been having conflicting feelings about.

It could be someone you're feeling angry with or resentful toward.

It could be someone you feel afraid of.

Anyone you have a connection with that is anything less than peaceful.

And if more than one person comes to mind,

Just choose one for now and you can always come back and do this process again with another person.

So think of a person you'd like to have some healing with and release some toxic ties with.

When you choose this person,

I'd like you to imagine this person in front of you at whatever distance feels the most comfortable to you.

And see if you can get an image of all the ways that you are energetically connected to this person.

Just where you feel it in your body.

You might experience your ties or connections with this person as a feeling or a sensation or an image,

A color,

A shape,

A symbol.

There's no right or wrong here.

Just allow your mind to imagine all the ways that you're connected or bound or tied to this person.

Now,

I'd like you to see if there are any of these ties that you would like to keep and which ones you're ready to release.

You may want to let go of some ties or agreements you have with this person and still stay connected in some ways,

Or you might be completely ready to let go of any energetic connection you have with this person.

Just go with whatever feels right to you.

Get a sense of which ties,

Agreements,

Or connections you'd like to keep,

If any,

And which ones you're ready to release.

And now,

When you're ready,

See yourself breaking any of the ties you're ready to let go of in whatever way feels right to you.

You can melt them or cut them or untie them or release them.

Picture yourself letting go of all the ties you are ready to release with this person.

And now,

When you're ready,

See yourself breaking any of the ties you're ready to let go of in whatever way feels right to you.

If it feels right to you,

You can wish them well.

And now,

Tune into your body and see what you're experiencing.

You can take a few nice deep breaths and really allow yourself to honor whatever feelings are here for you right now.

And once again,

Tuning into that orbit of healing light above you.

It might be the same color as before.

It might be a different color now.

Go with whatever your imagination calls to mind.

Imagine a beautiful,

Warm,

Healing light above you,

Emanating that healing light through your whole body.

Breathing it in.

And now,

Imagining that golden cord from the bottom of your spine,

Deep down into the earth,

Grounding you,

Connecting you to the earth.

You can repeat this process any time with another relationship if you'd like.

And I thank you so much for joining me today.

Thank you for this. I envisioned the most toxic person in my life that most recently (as well as historically) is vitriolic in all her dealings with me. Most recently last night. I must protect myself from her acid. As she sat across from me in this exercise… I took scissors and cut her free. I don’t need her. She is free. And so am I. I thank you.

Wonderful guided meditation. I appreciated the grounding cord extending deep within the Earth and the cloud of soft glittery light above protecting me. I focused one person and severed a few toxic cords of criticism, enabling, denial, and control so that we can have a healthier relationship going forward. Felt a pain in my right chest as I cut. noe I get to let it begin with me. thank you!
