It's easy to feel like we're all alone.
Yet we are connected to people more than we realize.
Even if you don't see anyone for an entire day,
There are things that you touch that others have helped you with.
From our food to our clothing and much more,
We are helped by others.
In this meditation,
We're going to use gratitude to feel connected to other people,
Even if we don't know who they are.
Let's begin by getting into a comfortable position,
Allowing yourself to settle in and begin to relax.
Let's start by taking some deep breaths.
Start with a long,
Slow inhale and exhale.
Inhale,
Filling your lungs with nourishing oxygen.
And exhale.
Inhaling relaxation and exhale any remaining tension.
Continue deep breathing at your own pace,
Allowing yourself to relax into the moment.
Now call to mind one of your favorite things or something that you use every day.
As you see this item in your mind's eye,
Imagine the people that made the item.
Imagine thanking them and telling them how much you love it,
How grateful you are to them for producing this item.
Now call to mind all the resources that were used to create this item.
And let's begin by taking a deep breath.
Exhale,
And exhale.
Call to mind all the resources that were used to create this item.
And the people that harvested those resources.
Thank them for harvesting.
Call to mind all the people that were required to transport it.
Taking the resources to the creators and then to the store,
And finally to you.
Thank them for bringing you what you love.
Now call to mind the store that sells it.
Thinking of all the people required to keep that store running.
From the cashiers,
To the electricity providers,
And even the construction workers that built it.
Thank all of them for creating a space that you can find what you love.
As you call to mind each set of people that contributed to your favorite item,
Show gratitude for them getting up every day to contribute to that one thing in your life.
Show gratitude to them for continuing on even though they too may feel alone or tired or stressed.
Connect energetically to each and every person in the chain that helps you receive your favorite product.
Feel the deep connection to them no matter where they are in the world.
Feel connected to them because they are people helping you to enjoy life even in the small areas.
And as you call to mind the store that sells it,
Feel the deep connection to them no matter where they are in the world.
Feel connected to them because they are people helping you to enjoy life even in the small ways.
Without ever meeting you.
Let's highlight how connected we are.
Slowly start to bring your attention back to the room.
