Welcome to this grounding practice.

Whenever you feel a bit off,

Whenever you don't feel quite like yourself,

Maybe you're very worried and you notice you're a lot in your head and you want to come back to earth,

You want to come back down into your body,

Into this moment.

Allow your eyes to close gently,

If that is available to you.

If not,

You can keep them open and we'll start by taking three comfortable breaths together.

So inhaling through your nose,

In your own capacity,

In your own time and releasing it out through your mouth.

One more,

Inhale through your nose and release through your mouth.

Taking one last comfortable breath in and out.

Allow your belly to soften.

Allow your eyelids to relax,

Your jaw to unclench,

Your shoulders to drop down.

Become aware of your body as one whole,

Becoming aware that you are breathing and maybe if you start to yawn,

This is a sign of release from your nervous system,

It's a great sign.

And allowing your attention to drift towards your root chakra,

The base of your spine and below that,

Your root,

Your base.

Take a very deep breath in now,

Completely filling up your belly and as you exhale,

Imagine that from that root grows beautiful roots of a tree,

It grows deeper down,

Down into the earth below you,

Through your floor,

Through the soil,

Growing deeper and deeper into the earth below you,

Through all the rocks,

Through all the mud,

Through the waters of the earth,

Connecting with other roots deep in the ground,

Nestling in and becoming even bigger and stronger.

Your roots reach deeply,

Your roots are strong and provide you with a sense of grounding and stability in your life.

The color of your root chakra is red so you can imagine if you want this beautiful red light energy at the base of your spine.

Feel the connectedness of you and the earth below you.

Feel yourself feeling more centered and grounded,

Perhaps even light.

Now imagine that from the heavens a beautiful ray of light is coming down towards you,

Towards your crown chakra which is above the top of your head.

This beautiful pillar of light blows through your crown and reaches all the way to your root chakra and this beautiful pillar of white light has a cleansing effect,

It balances your chakras,

Your energy centers.

And this pillar of white light keeps coming and it's like your battery is being recharged as well.

Take a few breaths here,

Comfortably,

Imagining your stable roots and the constant supply of healing energy coming into your body.

You are connected to the universe,

Connected to yourself,

Connected to the earth.

You can stay here for as long as you like and whenever you feel ready you can gently come back into your body,

Come back to your breath,

Gently allow your eyes to open and orient yourself back in the room that you are right now,

Looking around,

Moving your fingers and your toes.

Welcome back,

It's been a pleasure and an honor to meditate with you today.

My name is Anais and I wish you the most beautiful day.
