We can all feel lonely sometimes. Experiencing a variety of emotions is what makes us human. These emotions often stem from an unmet need deep inside of us. Connect with your heart, soothe your anxiety and sadness and give yourself what you truly need in this moment. Communicate with your loneliness and give it what it needs- what you need. Then, nourish yourself with loving affirmations that fulfill you & your heart. The love that you long for, is already within you.

Hello and welcome to this loneliness relief meditation.

Get yourself into a comfortable position.

You can go and lay down.

Put one hand on your heart and one hand.

Start breathing in into your belly slowly and deeply.

With each inhale breathe in soothing and love.

With each exhale let go of pain and sadness.

Keep breathing like this at your own pace.

Exhaling completely and fully as you let go.

Now bring your attention to your body.

Scan your body.

Notice how it feels like.

You may notice a certain area where there is constriction,

Heaviness,

Pain.

Bring your awareness to this area and become aware of what it is.

Maybe you recognize this feeling or sensation or maybe it's the first time that you experience it.

Allow it to be there.

It might feel overwhelming and big,

Like there is not enough space in your body to hold it.

So let's create some more space for it to be there.

Start breathing into that area.

With every inhale and with every exhale visualize that you are creating more space for this feeling to be there.

Notice how good it feels to create space,

To allow this feeling to be there instead of resisting it.

Now welcome this feeling to be there.

You can imagine talking to it and saying welcome,

I accept you,

I allow you to be here.

We have to feel it first in order to heal it.

Now become curious about it.

How does it really feel like?

Imagine that this feeling becomes a person.

It might be a previous version of yourself,

Your inner child,

You as a teenager,

You right now or something completely different.

Imagine how this feeling of loneliness looks like for you,

As if it were alive.

Notice how it is feeling right now.

Imagine it could talk.

What would it say to you?

And now ask it,

What do you need?

Allow the answers or the feelings to come to you.

Now ask it,

What are you here to teach me or to tell me?

Give this loneliness exactly what it needs right now.

And maybe it needs a good portion of love,

Maybe it needs a hug from you,

Maybe it needs reassuring words.

And repeat these affirmations to yourself and to this loneliness inside of you.

I am here for you.

I am right here.

I love you,

Deeply.

I am loved deeply.

I can give myself what I need on a deep level.

I am whole and complete exactly as I am.

I love myself deeply and I enjoy being with myself.

No,

Being alone does not equal being lonely.

You can enjoy being with yourself and when you notice you are craving human connection and love.

Of course you can get this from other people in the outside world but you can also get it from yourself.

Because what you long for and what you crave is already deep within you.

You feel that longing and only you know how to fulfill it.

So don't be afraid to go into the pain.

Feel it.

Give yourself the love.

Notice how different this loneliness inside you feels.

Maybe he or she is smiling now,

Not so sad,

Doesn't feel so abandoned,

Knowing that you are always there for yourself.

Give it one last big hug and give yourself also a physical hug.

We need to fill our own cup first and let it overflow and let it spill over and then we can give to others.

Share the love that you create within yourself to other people.

Thank you so much for meditating with me today.

I wish you well.

I wish you the very best and a lot of love,

Especially self love.

I am a Neuro-mindfulness teacher.

Thank you for being here and I will see you soon.

Hi. I want to share that I have enjoyed your meditations and the energetic spaces you hold here. I have a lot of movements going in the meditations, and my experience with IFS changed so much for me—the most important being ridding shame of Self. Now, there is so much compassion for all of my parts. That's the short version. However, I was happy to find you and will continue meditating with you. I recently arrived in London for a postgraduate program in creative health at University College London. Research and interdisciplinary programs focused on creativity, sciences, and lived experiences. Overall, it's an exciting moment in my Self, and I would not be here without IFS work and other tools, yoga, Insight Timer, and the magic energy this online space has held for me, and now the added discovery of your sharing Self. All said, thank you so very much, and I will continue to hold space with you in my mornings. With care and gratitude— Warmest regards, James

Just what I needed. In the younger part of my life I clung to relationships until a very big heartbreak led me to the path I am set on now in meditation and mindfulness. That was when I was 27. After putting myself through my education and becoming a nurse and finding my values and inner purpose in helping others I was vastly overwhelmed by the events that transpired through working in an ICU during the pandemic. I knew I had to leave that environment when I did as it wasn’t changing enough for me to fulfill my own needs at the same time. Unfortunately, I was so busy and sleep deprived, as well as malnourished, that I took a while in even being able to function normally. On top of that, the entire world I had come to know was changed by what transpired as well, and I found a lot more people were closed off and people I knew changed a lot. I have been working in different environments since then and have found each one has needed me to overextended to some point and I have had to cut ties. I pray for all the other nurses out there struggling through this and I am glad to say I think I have found a place I can thrive, learn and grow but I have been very much alone in all of this and this meditation is perfect for that. Such a calming background and with a soothing voice to guide, I find comfort and my “home” amongst homes again in myself and find that love I give to others in my practice and my life. That is a gift I am grateful for. So 5 stars!!

That made me feel really good. I liked sending loneliness away as my child self as I was very alone at times.
