Hey friend,
Welcome to this guided meditation to honor the winter solstice,
The longest night of the year and the medicine that comes from the darkness.
So,
Please come into a comfortable seat and allow your eyes to come to close.
And in these first few moments,
Really attend to your posture.
So notice your body and whether or not your body feels comfortable.
And make any adjustments to your body so that you feel at ease.
And then making additional adjustments to your body to help you begin to feel grounded.
Through that groundedness,
Present in this moment.
And then take a slow breath in,
Letting your belly expand.
And a slow breath out,
Softening.
Softening your belly and all of your body.
Repeating that a couple times,
Unplugging from the fast pace of your day,
Unplugging from the collective urgency to always be doing,
Always be moving.
And letting yourself just be here and letting that be enough.
Now,
Through your mind's eye,
Imagine yourself just looking down into the space around your belly,
The space around your heart,
And just sensing what the energy is like here.
These are our soft,
Tender spots,
Our heart,
Our belly,
And we can feel a lot through these areas and hold a lot through these areas.
So connect to this place inside of you and even a bit out in front of you.
Breathe into this space.
Love this place and receive what's here for you,
In your belly,
In your heart.
And when that feels complete,
Decide where within your body,
Your attention,
Your awareness wants to land.
Give your awareness a home inside of you,
A place where it can become centered.
It doesn't matter where this place is for you,
Only that it's somewhere in your body.
When you find this place,
This home for your awareness,
Settle in.
Really feel your attention being focused there and direct the breath into this place as well.
And again,
Through your mind's eye,
As you gaze inward to this place,
Notice if it's dark or light.
Notice if there's any color here within you.
And begin to see a little glimmer,
A little spark right there at this place of focus,
This home for your awareness.
And as you breathe into this place,
Allow that spark to become a little brighter.
Allow this little inner flame,
This little sliver of light to begin growing.
And maybe this light will grow until it fills your entire body and maybe even the space around your body.
But know that the purpose of this light is to transmute and burn away anything that's not you.
Anything old,
Heavy,
Dark,
Anything that takes your life force energy away.
At the sacred time of the winter solstice,
We are invited in.
We are invited into the darkness to process,
To rest,
To digest,
To sleep,
To anchor into our essence.
And when we go into the dark fully,
Our inner light naturally emerges.
That inner spark that lives at the core of each of us,
It brightens,
It awakens.
So let your inner light shine as big and bright as feels right for you.
Inviting your own light to transmute what is not you.
And feel your entire self becoming aligned,
Balanced,
Connected.
Let's take three more deep breaths.
Letting these breaths fuel this inner flame.
And then to seal in this practice,
Consider one word that encompasses your energy,
Your frequency in this moment.
If you'd like,
You can say this word out loud or silently to yourself and let it be an activation.
Let it be a way for you to anchor this energy,
This vibration,
This light that you always have within you.
And let it anchor the power of this light to burn away what's not you.
Let's bring one hand over the heart,
One hand over the belly.
Take one last deep breath in in honor of this winter solstice,
In honor of the darkness,
And in honor of the light.
Thank you so much for joining me.
