Hello and welcome to this short guided meditation practice to help you come home to yourself and to activate a genuine sense of self-love.
You can sit or lie down for this practice,
Whichever is most comfortable for you,
And then go ahead and let your eyes come to close and feel the breath flowing in and feel the breath flowing out.
Stay with your breath for a few moments,
Noticing its pace and rhythm,
Its texture,
And noticing how your breath is flowing in and out of your body.
And then letting your body drop down into whatever is beneath you just a little bit more.
Breathe in deeply through the nose and then just sigh out through an open mouth and feel the weight of your body letting go with gravity.
Letting the shoulders drop,
Releasing the jaw,
And feeling your hips and your pelvis sink down.
And then from this place of presence in your body,
Let's let go of any negativity in the mind.
So with each breath,
Imagine releasing criticism,
Doubt,
Or any voice in your mind that speaks down to you.
Clear your mental space,
Breathing out any negativity in the mind.
And then let your attention shift down into the space of your heart and begin to ground your attention here.
If you'd like,
You could rest one hand over your chest as well and feel the rise and fall of your breath beneath your hand.
And within your heart space,
Imagine a beautiful flower blossoming open.
Notice the color of the flower,
The shape,
The size,
And let yourself fully receive its energy.
This flower symbolizes pure love that you hold within you.
Give this flower as much time and space as it needs to open,
To grow,
To blossom fully.
And then let the essence of this flower begin to flow out into the rest of your body.
Nourishing you with a vibrant love,
Filling you up with pure love.
Feel the energy from this flower traveling up into your mind,
Helping your mind become positive,
Helping your mind become a place that generates uplifting and loving thoughts for yourself,
But also for those around you.
And then lastly,
Allow this energy from this flower within your heart to flow out into the space around you.
Feel as though this energy is giving you exactly what you need today.
Fortifying you with a strong sense of self,
Helping you feel deep love for who you are.
Now return your attention back to the flower within your chest,
And with your mind's eye,
Imagine and visualize this flower growing roots down through your body into the earth beneath you.
Letting this loving state that you've cultivated within yourself be grounded,
Be anchored into the here and now.
And then just bring your attention back to the steady flow of your breath,
Letting go of the flower within your chest,
Just allowing that image to dissolve.
And feel how your body is breathing in and breathing out.
Gathering your palms to touch in front of your chest,
Take one last deep breath in through the nose,
Sigh it out through an open mouth.
As you move out into whatever is next,
Know that self-love is not a destination,
But a continuous journey.
Take time today to return to yourself,
Take moments to connect with the love within,
Maybe visualizing that flower again inside your chest.
And remember that you are loved,
You are whole,
And you are enough.
