Thank you so much for joining me today on your race day meditation.

It's race day.

You have worked hard for this moment,

And now it's time to make yourself proud.

To be great for this one day.

To simultaneously give it everything you've got,

But also surrender to the greater good.

This meditation practice will have you ready for the race of your life.

Do your best right now to eliminate all distractions,

And let's get comfortable.

Wherever you are,

I invite you to gently close your eyes,

And be in this moment.

Right here.

Sit up straight as if you are sitting for a purpose.

You have purpose.

But have your shoulders relaxed,

Your jaw relaxed.

But from head to toe,

Just be as comfortable and loose as possible.

Now gently take a deep breath in through your nose,

All the way in,

Filling up those lungs.

Hold it for a brief moment,

And a nice,

Slow,

Gentle exhale.

Nice and slow.

Let's do that again.

Breathe in through your nose,

Feeling the air as it enters your nostrils,

All the way in,

Feeling the rib cage expand,

And filling up those lungs with as much air as possible.

And when you can't take in any more,

Hold it at the top.

And slowly and gently exhale.

And now just breathe naturally as you focus on these words,

And if your mind wanders,

Bring yourself back to the breath,

Back to listening to my voice.

Right here.

Right now.

Now in your mind's eye,

I want you to imagine your race day as it unfolds.

From this moment that the meditation ends,

Until you're crossing the finish line,

I'd love for you to go through every movement,

From your warm up to the moment the race starts.

Now visualize the race starting.

Watch as your legs move in perfect harmony.

Visualize the strength of your body,

Your posture,

Your mindset,

As you execute your plan.

I want you to imagine every detail.

Can you see how your body is moving and excelling in ways that you couldn't have imagined?

Your incredible form,

Your energy,

Your stamina,

Your breathing.

You are running the race of your life,

An effortless flow of grace and strength.

You feel outstanding.

Imagine the feeling of pushing through a really hard stretch.

How does that feel?

Now watch it happen even better than you could have imagined.

See it clearly.

Feel the feeling of crossing that finish line with so much pride,

So much joy and gratitude for your amazing body.

Celebrate it.

See yourself as you cross the finish line.

It's all happening now.

You believe this.

You believe it.

So you will see it.

It will play out exactly how you imagined.

Feel thankful for those around you.

Send love and gratitude to everyone else in the race.

Love and gratitude to the volunteers,

To the organizers,

To the fans,

The friends,

The family that showed up.

This is your day.

You are made for this.

Repeat these mantras out loud or in your head.

I am confident in my abilities.

I am protected.

I am prepared.

I stay calm and focused under pressure.

My body and mind are resilient and strong.

I thrive in these conditions.

I have unlimited energy.

I feel outstanding.

Great job.

As you go about your pre-race routine,

Carry this energy within your heart,

Within your soul.

You are the essence of pure potential.

You are a warrior,

A force,

A champion.

And this is your time.

Now I'm going to count you down from five to one.

And as we count down,

Feel yourself coming back into your body.

Five.

You've never felt more focused,

More energetic,

More ready.

Four.

Coming back into your body,

Feeling the fire within lighting you up as your body and mind are now aligned.

Three.

Start to move your fingers and toes.

Shake it out a little bit.

Two.

Deep breath in.

All the way in.

Hold it at the top.

And now,

One.

Exhale.

Open your eyes.

I am cheering you on.

You are ready.

Have the best race ever.
