Hey there,
Welcome to this short practice of Yoga Nidra.
Please find a comfortable position in which to receive the practice.
You might like to lay down on your bed or on your yoga mat on the floor or you could be seated in a chair or seated leaning up against a wall.
However you can find comfort.
That's the best place,
The best way to receive the practice.
You might like to cover yourself with a blanket and you may like to place an eye pillow over your eyes and if it feels comfortable for you to do so very gently allow your eyelids to close.
Turning your attention inside.
Taking a moment here to allow the earth to receive you.
Allow the sky to open for you.
And sense this body breathing in the middle of all of life,
In the midst of all of life.
This body breathing,
Feeling the inhalation as it moves inside your nostril,
Sliding down on the back of your throat and moving out into the realm of this body.
And sensing your exhale leaving.
This sense of letting go and you may notice brief pauses between inhale and exhale,
Exhale and inhale.
Take a moment here to take a screenshot of your body.
Laying still in this time and space.
Sense the room or the space that you are in and receive sound.
Sounds naturally arising and falling away.
Exactly as the breath does.
Sounds within your body,
Sounds outside the space you're in or within the space.
And now take your attention down to the centre of the soul and top of each foot.
And here see and sense a tiny blue bindu light.
And as you inhale,
Feel sense and see in your mind's eye this bindu very gradually expanding.
And as you exhale,
Feel this gradual diminishing back into a very strongly concentrated blue right at the centre of each foot.
And then move your attention to your ankles,
The centre point of each ankle and again see a blue and as you inhale,
Feel a beautiful and gradual expansion.
And exhaling,
Sense a beautiful letting go.
And see this concentrate,
The centre of each foot,
Top and bottom and the centre of each ankle.
And now the knees,
Locate the pinpoint,
The centre point.
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
Turning into a deeper shade of blue because it's been tended to,
The hips.
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
The palms and backs of the hands.
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
Turning into a deeper shade of blue.
The wrists,
The elbows,
The hips,
The hips,
The hips,
The hips,
The hips,
The elbows,
The shoulders,
Blue lights.
Diving your attention from the shoulders to the sacrum,
Inhaling,
Blue light expanding out and gently contracting back into the centre point of the sacrum.
Move your attention up to the back of the navel,
Front and back inhaling,
Exhaling,
The front and back door of the heart.
The throat centre,
The point between the two eyebrows.
The crown of the head.
As you exhale,
You might feel and sense and see a beautiful blue waterfall running through your body from the crown to the soles of the feet.
And then from the soles of the feet back to the crown.
Beautiful blue light gently spilling outside the walls of the body,
Spilling into your energy body into the space that you are in.
Thank you.
When you feel ready,
Begin to draw contact with the nose,
Begin to draw consciously a little more breath into your nostrils.
Wriggle your fingertips and your toes and if you're laying down gently plant your feet and roll to your side,
Making your way up to a seated position.
You might like to move your hands in a gathering motion,
Gathering in,
Gathering in that which you will be moving forward with today.
And as you gather it,
Bring it towards your heart.
Let that fill your purpose and your intention for the rest of this day.
Namaste.
