Chapter 6 Enro stared up at the night sky,
Watching the brilliant flashes of color as the light display lit up the darkness.
The noise of all the people and the feeling of suffocation from being so tightly packed into this one central location in Beijing on New Year's Eve was overwhelming,
Without adding in the attention needed to keep up with the fast-paced colors and images moving in the sky.
His nervous system felt raw and overstimulated,
With no immediate end to the intensity.
Straightening his head and neck and closing his eyes for a moment,
He brought all of his attention and focus inside of his mind and body.
Thank God for this practice of mindfulness,
He thought,
As he consciously slowed down his breathing,
Counting from one to four,
Holding it,
And releasing to the count of four.
Over a few minutes,
He could feel his body relaxing slightly and his muscles loosening.
The noises around him faded away a little when he brought his attention inward in this way,
And he could feel the relief that this refocusing was bringing to his ears and his head.
Bumped suddenly on his right side,
His eyes startled open as he studied his balance.
How much longer,
He thought,
As he looked down at his iPhone to check the time.

He sighed.
Only a few more minutes to go.
Looking to his left,
He smiled to his friends who were all laughing and taking pictures of the crowds and the dancing lights overhead.
I'm going to miss them,
He thought,
As his mind went back yet again to his plans for next year.
Tonight was a celebration in more ways than one for Enro.
It was the end of his extended college career and the threshold for his next phase of the journey.
In eight days,
He was flying to Brisbane,
Australia,
To put into practice all that he had been studying for years.
Australia felt so far away in this moment,
Like another world.
He could feel the anxiety sitting at the bottom of his stomach,
At the base of his spine,
Waiting to run the familiar patterns of fear through his digestive and nervous systems.
Another deep exhale as he turned his attention back to his counts of four.
Stabilizing his energy was challenging enough on its own and made that much more difficult when standing in these huge crowds on such a significant date.
Bringing his focus to his thoughts,
He visualized the list that he had sitting on his desk at home,
Written out to help anchor in the reality of all that was left to do before his move.
He could see it in his mind's eye.
Blue ink on college-ruled notepad.
A clear writing,
All in caps.
Simple words or short statements by each number.
Twenty-six items listed.
He was so close.
Eight days.
How is that even possible,
He thought.
I've been planning and dreaming this next chapter into existence for years,
And now it is time.
Deep in his contemplation,
He didn't realize that five of the six minutes had passed.
His friend was bumping against him on the left as he was starting to jump up and down with excitement.
The volume of the crowd suddenly spiked as thousands of people started repeating the countdown they could see on the scoreboard.
His heart starting to beat faster,
Enro found himself repeating quietly under his breath the intention he was setting for the new year.
I am a being of light here on this planet to transmute fear into love,
And I trust where I am guided to move in every moment.
I claim an abundant,
Fulfilling,
Successful career that allows me to shine my light and share my gifts.
I am magnetically attracting my cosmic playmates towards me in the physical,
Knowing that there are many of us here on this planet at this time to help guide humanity into its next evolutionary shift.
I am steady.
I am strong.
I am clear.
I am supported.
And I am ready.
He joined in.

Happy New Year.
Feeling his entire body tingling with the excitement he was feeling individually as this moment arrived and the new year began,
And collectively as the crowd erupted into screams,
Cheers,
Laughter,
Singing,
And a rolling movement of energy as friends,
Lovers,
Partners,
Family members turned to hug each other and celebrate the moment.
Enro found himself held tightly in the midst of his group of friends,
All of them laughing and cheering and swaying as love moved through their bodies and hearts.
Looking his best friend right in the eye,
Enro smiled and he smiled back,
Telepathically knowing what the other was thinking,
As they always did.
You are ready,
His friend's eyes said.
Yes,
And you are too,
Enro's eyes said back.
Leaning in closer to hug tightly,
Enro exhaled for the first time in this new year,
Consciously running any doubt left down through his body into his feet,
Dropping that negative energy on the ground,
Knowing thousands of people would support his releasing by stepping on it as they made their way out of the celebration.
Joining in with the singing and swaying to Auld Lang Syne,
Enro leaned his head back and looked up at the sky again.
This was a new moment,
A new year,
A new energy,
Guiding him into a new adventure.
Brilliant displays of color delighting his eyes with the matching sound vibrations moving through his body,
He added in the one extra secret intention that he still hadn't shared with his best friend.
I am magnetizing towards me,
My love,
The one I know I am here to partner with this year.
Happy New Year,
My love.
He transmitted the energy from his heart out into consciousness,
Knowing the one he had not yet met would receive it and know he was on his way.
