Hello and welcome to our community meditation space.
My name is Vivian Girard and it is my delight today to be taking you into a journey of remembering the void.
Let's go ahead and close our eyes.
I am sitting in a space with doors and windows open knowing that there will be other sounds that will be coming into this meditation space,
Which may be different,
May be unusual for you in these guided visualizations,
But I trust that the soundscape that we're co-creating brings new information,
Shows you the limitlessness,
The pure potential of the void,
And as these sounds come in it sparks something awake inside of you.
It activates some ripple through your consciousness that is exactly the message you need in the moment that you receive it.
So allow yourself to settle into this co-creative experience with me.
It is a beautiful,
Warm,
Sunny day here in my hometown and I can feel the spaciousness all around me.
The time,
The cocoon that I have claimed for myself to enter the void with all of my heart open to whatever I allow myself to remember,
To experience,
To flow through me as I sit in the void.
And so I invite you into this journey with me.
Let's settle fully into our bodies with our eyes closed and our feet perhaps planted on the floor or stretched out in front of us.
Allow yourself to feel your physical body,
To get a sense of what's happening inside of your body,
Any resistance,
Any uncomfortableness,
Any tight muscles or shoulders that are hunched.
Perhaps we can wiggle and move our physical body.
Imagine a big breath of fresh air can come in and around you.
You can feel the breeze moving around your body and inviting you to settle into this moment.
Knowing that you are safe,
That if you are able to listen to a guided meditation,
Then you are in a space that allows you to travel,
To play,
To experiment with consciousness in this way that you have chosen to do.
And so allow your body to feel safe,
Running any doubt,
Any fear,
Any trepidation,
Any stories that your mind has created that would prevent you from fully entering into an experience with yourself in the void,
Remembering the potential of the void,
Running any resistance down through your body to your feet,
Shaking that energy off down and into the earth,
And then landing your awareness more firmly in your body,
Feeling the strength,
The steadiness of this human form that your soul chose,
That you get to sit in,
To rest in,
Consciousness embodied,
And this is the body that you chose.
Relax your muscles,
Allow yourself to gently land in this moment,
Awareness in the body.
The void in our humanness is experienced in the human form.
What do I mean as I say that?
I believe we know the void in the idea of the universe,
Of space,
Of the ethereal.
Experiencing the void in the human moment,
In the human body,
Is a more physical,
Tangible,
Dense experience of the void.
Perhaps this image is helpful.
It's like being in a room with all the lights off and you know that you're in the room and there's a closed door and closed windows,
Like a darkness retreat,
And you know that the room has space and structure and you're a human being in the room but you can't make a visual or you can't see the outline of your body or of the room because you're in the darkness,
You're in the void.
And yet if you choose to sit down in that dark room,
So perhaps you can visualize yourself doing that right now.
You sit down in the void,
See it as a room and you're choosing to sit in it in a human form and turn up your senses.
What do you hear?
What sounds?
For me,
I can hear the wind moving,
The chimes in the background,
The breeze through the trees,
The cars off in the distance.
What can you feel,
Sense physically around you?
So I can feel the breeze moving through my hair.
I can feel the breeze touching my skin.
I can feel the temperature.
I can feel the crystals on my lap.
What can you feel as you sit in this void space,
Eyes closed in your body,
Experiencing the void in a physical way?
What can you smell?
For me,
It's the fresh air,
The scent of springtime moving here in the midwest.
Slight scent of food.
What can you smell?
What can you taste?
Even if you have nothing in your mouth,
What do you just remember tasting?
What do you anticipate tasting?
What can you imagine tasting?
Can you imagine taking a sip of fresh water?
Can you imagine what it would taste like to have your favorite food?
Perhaps the ocean spray on your tongue or fresh rain from the sky.
Turn up all of your senses.
Even with your eyes closed,
You're activating your inner sight.
What do you see in your mind's eye in this void space that we are co-creating?
As I share what I experience,
It activates something for you and what you're remembering,
What you're receiving.
Can you feel how much exists in the void?
How there's this flow of remembering past,
Experiencing present,
Creating,
Visualizing future in the void,
In this moment as we sit in it together,
As we share the space together.
It all ebbs and flows.
It merges in and around us.
With our physical eyes closed and our third eye activated,
We are the observer,
The witness and the creator in the void.
And there is nothing actually to do except experience it,
To remember the void space and be in it,
Relaxing our muscles,
Allowing ourselves to be fully present,
Perhaps even releasing the idea or the words,
The void,
And simply sitting in this potential,
This field of existence.
The wind just picked up around me,
Feeling the movement,
The current of energy that is constantly ebbing and flowing around us here in Gaia,
Relaxing the muscles of your body,
And simply being.
What you do in this void space is your choice,
Your creation.
You can simply sit here in it with me and delight in remembering the void.
You can heal the energy,
The flow within yourself of any places that feel like they need your attention or your breath.
You can visualize with your third eye and activate the future,
Send a ripple through time and space,
Allowing the void to become potential that is then manifested.
You can allow all of that to happen all at the same time.
This is sacred space,
Pure potential within you,
Remembered by you.
In the Osho Zen deck,
There is a card called Nothingness,
And it shows pure black void,
And it says,
Allow yourself to rest in this space.
Something sacred is about to be born.
And so I leave you with that phrase.
The void is here for you to return to in any moment you choose to remember.
And as we complete this journey into it together,
I invite you to bring yourself all the way back into your current reality,
Your current moment.
So as you feel ready,
Slowly opening your physical eyes and just looking at one thing in front of you,
Allowing your physical reality to harmonize with the space you go to in meditation that we just traveled to together,
Bringing yourself all the way back into this full presence,
Knowing that both co-exist,
Both dance in sacred harmony.
