So if you haven't already,
Now is a perfect time to close your eyes and just gently let your awareness drift inside.
And just for a moment,
Notice how you feel.
Notice whatever emotions are present in your body.
Maybe subtle sensations that you're experiencing.
Just simply seeing what's there.
And as you begin to allow yourself to become aware of where you are,
I invite you to gently begin deepening your precious breath.
Maybe even placing one or both hands on your belly and feeling the rise and fall of your belly as you breathe.
And as you're becoming more aware of your breath,
Maybe you can even begin to slow your breath down just a little more.
Allowing that in-breath and out-breath to be longer and slower than the way you normally breathe.
Feeling the rise and fall of the belly as you breathe.
Noticing that the mind tries to distract you in another direction.
Simply allowing any thoughts to pass by as if they were clouds floating in the sky.
And then calling your awareness back to that precious breath.
Slowing down and allowing yourself to embrace this moment of calm and ease.
Not worrying about where you are or what you're doing,
But just simply being here with the breath.
As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly,
I invite you to drift your awareness to your precious heart center.
This sacred space in the very center of your chest.
You can place one or both hands on top of your heart to create a physical connection between you and this space.
Where you can simply become aware of what it feels like to notice your heart.
Maybe you'll feel the beating of your precious heart.
Maybe you'll notice the rise and fall of your heart as you breathe.
Simply allowing your awareness to linger here while still letting those breaths be deep and slow.
Not needing to be anywhere else but here.
Allowing yourself to trust that you are safe,
You are held,
And that all truly is well.
When the mind wanders,
Just gently call it back to the heart.
Allowing yourself to breathe deeply and slowly.
Maybe even a little slower than before.
With your awareness in your heart,
In this sacred and divine space,
I invite you to bring up someone that you love.
This can be a person very close to you,
Or even a pet that you care about so deeply.
Just bring them into your heart.
And for a moment,
Allow yourself to feel the love that you hold for them.
With each breath,
Breathing in this love into your heart and your body.
Allowing the cup of your heart to runneth over into your whole body,
Overflowing you with this love for another.
Simply being present here with your heart and this feeling of love.
And if the mind wanders,
Just call it back once more.
Back to the heart.
Back to this emotion of love for another.
And then gently let all of this go,
And begin drifting your awareness back to the room or physical space that holds you.
You can bring gentle movements to your fingers and toes.
Allow the body,
In whatever way,
Feels called to move.
When you're ready,
When you feel called,
You may gently open your eyes.
