Hello and welcome.
Today's meditation and healing is called The Gentle Shore.
This is a place of meeting where movement and rest can coexist,
Where breath and body listen to one another,
Where waves arrive and retreat without urgency.
Nothing is rushed here,
Nothing is overwhelming,
Nothing is demanding.
I invite you to find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted for the next 10 to 15 minutes.
Let this be time that belongs only to you,
A soft space in your day,
A pause in the rhythm of becoming.
Throughout this meditation I'll be asking for consent to guide you on this journey.
Everything here is with consent.
If at any moment you do not consent or you do not wish for energy to enter your field,
The energy will simply move around you.
This is your body,
This is your life and you always get to choose.
So if you consent you can simply nod your head or you can say yes out loud.
Good.
Gently close down your eyes and take a slow deep breath in through the nose and exhale all the way out through the mouth.
Good.
Again all the way in and out.
Good.
And as you breathe I want you to allow your shoulders to soften,
Let your jaw loosen and let your tongue rest heavy in your mouth.
That's it.
There is nowhere to be but here,
Just this very moment.
Now I want you to imagine yourself standing at the shoreline of where your nervous system meets time.
Allow your body to be present there.
What is it that you immediately feel when you arrive?
Was there some tension or anxiety or was it just stillness?
There is no right or wrong here,
I just want you to observe what comes up.
Your shoreline is a place where water meets the land gently,
Not crashing,
Not wild or turbulent,
Just simply touching and then retreating ever so gently,
The waves caressing the sand.
They come in and out.
In and out.
The tide moves slowly,
It approaches,
Rests for a moment and gently returns to the sea.
In and out.
Nothing lingers too long and nothing is taken too quickly.
As you stand there I want you to begin to feel the steadiness of the ground beneath you,
Steadfast,
Supportive and strong.
Feel the gentle movement of the water as it arrives around your toes and then the coolness as it leaves.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin.
Notice the light,
Perhaps it might be soft gold or pale blue or early morning silver.
There is no force here,
Only rhythm.
In and out.
In and out.
As you stand there,
Totally immersed in the stillness,
I want you to notice any emotions that may arise.
Allow them to come up to the mind and then give them to the ocean and watch them wash away with the tide.
You don't need to analyse them,
You don't need to chase them and you don't need to push them away.
They're simply energy moving,
Arriving,
Being witnessed and then returning to the greater sea.
In and out.
In and out.
I want you to say silently to yourself,
I allow what comes,
I trust what leaves,
I am steady here.
Good.
Rest there for a few moments,
Feeling grounded,
Supported,
Safe.
Feeling the emotion and allowing it to come up and then simply releasing them to the ocean.
As you stand free on the shoreline.
Notice how your breath mirrors the tide.
In and out.
In and out.
Each breath teaching your body that movement does not mean danger and stillness does not mean collapse.
Both can exist together.
The shore holds its shape,
The water moves freely and so do you.
In and out.
If there is a part of you that has been bracing,
Tightening or holding too much,
Imagine the warm water gently washing around that place,
Not to remove it,
Not to change it,
Only to say you are allowed to soften.
You are allowed to be held.
You are allowed to rest without disappearing into yourself.
Let your nervous system learn this language.
Let it learn it is safe.
And safety does not need to be loud.
Healing does not need to be forceful.
Strength does not need to be rigid.
Sometimes strength is the ability to remain soft and steady all at the same time.
Good.
Focus on your breath.
In and out.
Feel the space that you're in,
The surface beneath you,
The weight of your body being held.
And I want you to gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Let small movements return.
And when you're ready,
I want you to slowly open your eyes,
Knowing fully that I can meet my life gently.
I am steady and supported.
Always.
I am safe.
That's it.
Take one final big deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
You are grounded.
You are flexible.
You are safe.
Well done.
