The Rainbow of Calmness is part of my mini meditation series for those short on time and looking for some gentle guidance. Use this meditation when you are feeling anxious, agitated or wired. It will dissolve tension in the nervous system creating a space of safety, calmness and connection. Leaving you feeling grounded.

Hello and welcome.

Today we embark on a guided meditation and healing journey to activate your nervous system.

This meditation is designed to leave you feeling safe,

Grounded,

Calm and connected.

Find a comfortable space where you will not be disturbed for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

This is your time.

Time to nourish,

Restore and return to balance.

Let's begin.

Throughout this process I'm going to be asking for consent to go into different areas of your body.

Everything is with consent.

If you don't consent or you don't want me to enter your energetic field then the energy will simply go around you.

This is your body,

Your life and you get to choose if you want these changes or not.

Okay,

So asking consent to enter your field and to take you on this guided journey.

Just nod your head or say yes out loud.

Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs completely and as you exhale I want you to feel yourself melting into the surface beneath you.

Good,

Nice big deep breath in and all the way out,

Allowing tension to dissolve and allowing your body to soften.

With each breath I want you to surrender deeper into stillness.

Let go of resistance,

Let go of tension.

Simply be here,

Now.

Let us begin by clearing and activating the vagus nerve.

This is the guardian of your fight and flight,

Freeze and rest responses.

The vagus nerve branches into the dorsal,

The freeze response and the ventral is safety connection pathway.

When in balance this nerve allows you to feel safe,

Calm and connected.

Imagine now a rainbow light shimmering with warmth and vibrancy beginning at the base of your brain stem.

Watch as this light follows the path of the vagus nerve,

Cascading down each side of your neck,

Spiraling gently into your chest,

Flowing down to the midline,

All the way down,

Wrapping around your abdomen and intestine,

Like a soft embrace.

Good,

Just let that rainbow light feel that now.

This light moves like a river of safety,

Dissolving tension,

Releasing stored fear,

Unwinding tightness.

Feel the freeze response loosening.

That's it,

Let it melt,

The breath becoming freer,

The body feeling softer and safer.

Good,

Relax.

Let that rainbow light fill you and with every inhale you receive ease and with every exhale you release stress in and out.

Let this process happen naturally,

Your body knows exactly what to do.

Good,

Now we move to your spine,

The sacred channel of your nervous system.

This is where your life force energy flows,

Where messages travel between brain and body and where healings begin.

We will clear the entire spinal column with rainbow light,

Allowing energy to move freely and effortlessly.

Starting at the occiput,

So we're going to the cervical spine which is the C1 down to the C7.

The occiput is the small divot at the base of your skull.

This light flows through the seventh cervical vertebrae,

Innervating each nerve and muscle down to the tops of your shoulders.

Just feel the tension unwinding,

Feel the space opening,

Your mind and body are in harmony.

Good,

Moving down to the thoracic spine,

T1 to T12.

Good,

The thoracic spine T1 starts from the first non-moving vertebra and it goes all the way down to the base of your ribs.

This area houses your heart and your lungs,

The center of breath,

Emotion and resilience.

Let that rainbow light flood through this space,

Feel your breath deepen,

Your heart expand and your nervous system soften.

You are safe to breathe deeply,

You are safe to feel deeply,

You are safe to be here.

Good,

Let that rainbow light fill that area.

Now we're going to move down to the lumbar spine L1 to L5.

So your L1 is from your last rib down to the top of your sacrum.

This is the foundation of your physical strength,

The space that carries you forward,

The seat of your inner power.

Let the rainbow light spiral through releasing any heaviness,

Dissolving any burdens.

Here is where you reclaim your strength,

Stability and confidence.

Good,

Let it innervate all the nerves and muscles around each and every vertebra.

Let's move down to the sacrum,

S1 down to S5.

Good,

So that's from the top of the hips down to the tailbone.

This is your root,

Your deepest connection to safety,

Stability and belonging.

Imagine the rainbow light anchoring this space,

Creating a deep connection between you and the earth beneath you.

Your body whispers you are safe,

You are supported,

You are deeply unshakably grounded.

Good,

Let that rainbow light fill that area,

Innervating every nerve,

Every muscle.

That's it.

With every area now open,

Activated and clear,

Allow this warm,

Vibrant light to flow freely through your entire nervous system,

From brain to spine.

From heart to breath,

From root to crown,

You are fully alive,

Fully present,

Fully free.

Take a deep breath in,

Good,

And let that release all the way out.

Another deep breath in and out.

Slowly bring your awareness back to your body.

Feel your fingers and your toes,

Feel the surface beneath you,

Feel the strength and safety radiating from within.

You are safe,

You are grounded,

You are connected.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes,

Carrying this deep sense of balance and ease with you.

And just know you are free to go back to this meditation anytime you feel your nervous system is overloaded or you may be heading into a fight and flight reaction.
