If you feel shut down, flat, numb, foggy, or like you can’t get going, this 3 minute gentle re-energise is designed to help with hypoarousal, the “low” side of nervous system dysregulation. Hypoarousal can show up as collapse, freeze, low motivation, heavy fatigue, or emotional numbness, often after stress or overwhelm. In this short practice, you’ll use supportive breathing, grounding through the body, and tiny movements to invite a little more energy and presence without forcing or pushing. Listen in the morning when you feel stuck, during a lunchtime reset when you’re fading, mid-afternoon slump, after overwhelm, or anytime you feel disconnected and want a gentle return to yourself. This isn’t about being productive, it’s about coming back online, one small step at a time.

Welcome,

My name is Sandhya.

If you feel shut down now,

Numb,

Or like you can't get going,

This short meditation is designed to help with hypoarousal,

A low side of nervous system dysregulation.

And you're very welcome here,

And I invite you to take a comfortable position.

Allow your eyes to close or your gaze to soften,

And start with a slow inhale through the nose,

And an easy exhale through the mouth.

Once more,

Inhale and exhale.

Bring your awareness to your hands.

Begin to move your fingers,

Maybe rotate the wrists.

Now your feet.

Push your toes into the floor,

And move the ankles.

Take another breath in,

And exhale out.

If it feels comfortable,

Rub your palms together slowly,

Creating warmth,

Or gently tap your upper arms like a soft signal to wake up,

And mentally repeat it.

One small step is enough.

One breath,

And I can begin.

One small step is enough.

I can begin.

And now choose one tiny action.

One step toward the next thing,

Even if that might just be standing up.

And that's enough to get started.

You can do this.

My name is Sandhya.

Thank you for listening.

Feels like I couldn't have picked a more appropriate meditation to deal with my current state of mind.
