Day 5 Beginner's Meditation Allow your eyes to close as you settle down into the surface beneath you,

Giving yourself permission to rest now in this moment.

When you're used to the mind being in control of you,

It can be very challenging to sit down even if it's just for a moment or two.

And in this meditation practice,

We're just training our mind that we are the ones in control.

You choose where your focus is.

Yes,

The mind will wander.

And you ask the mind to focus on the here and now by taking a breath in and out.

And as you breathe out,

Mentally say,

Let go.

And relax.

And out.

Let go.

And with consistent practice,

You may start to notice there is a difference between the mind and you.

There becomes a watch of the mind.

This comes with practice.

And you're doing a great start with this meditation.

Be patient,

Be kind with yourself and let go.

Take a breath in and out.
