Friend,
You're tuned in to OMHAIKU.
I'm your host,

Back with another music meditation just to soothe,
Just to relax,
Just to come back to our center,
Our awareness.
If you've been feeling stress,
Anxious,
Depressed,
Experiencing self-doubt,
Restlessness,
Boredom,
Or perhaps even joyfulness,
Love,
Peace,
Tranquility,
Celebratory,
Or somewhere in between,
Whatsoever you're feeling is A-OK.
We're going to take some deep breaths and see if we can come back to faith in the unfolding of our day and the unfolding of our moment-to-moment.
That being said,
Getting comfortable,
My friend.
Becoming aware of how you're sat.
You can lie down or sit up,
Whatever you like.
You're safe to close the eyes,
Looking deeper inside,
Feeling your heart from inside,
Feeling your mind from inside,
Feeling the body from inside,
Observing the temperature inside,
The energy,
Embracing whatsoever you see,
Like an old friend.
Dropping the shoulders away from the ears,
Relaxing the belly,
Relaxing the jaw,
The lips,
The forehead,
Relaxing the chest,
The hands,
And feet,
Feeling the stillness of the ground beneath you,
Feeling your lower body rooted,
Feeling your spine,
Bringing more awareness to the spine.
I want you to visualize your spine strong,
Upright,
Yet hollow like a bamboo.
Taking a deep breath up the spine,
Up the hollow bamboo,
All the way to the top of your crown,
Top of your head,
And exhaling down into the earth.
Feeling rooted,
Grounded as you breathe up the spine,
Up the hollow bamboo.
All the way to the top of the crown,
And exhaling back down.
Breathing up,
And exhaling down.
Keeping your body relaxed as you breathe in,
And breathe out.
In,
And breathing out.
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
Relaxing the belly,
Relaxing the face,
Relaxing the chest,
Dropping down from the head into the heart,
Feeling your heart listening to its rhythm as you look inside.
If your mind has been wanting to think,
Now is the time to allow your mind total freedom to think.
Holding that breath,
Becoming aware as you hold the breath,
And exhale,
Letting go.
Way to stay with it,
My friend.
So happy you'll join me today.
Taking a deep breath in,
Breathing into the belly,
And exhale,
Relaxing the belly.
Becoming aware of your awareness,
Becoming present with your presence.
Feeling the love that's already inside,
Feeling the compassion that's already inside.
Feeling yourself protected,
Cared for by life,
Reminding you that life cares for you.
Taking one last deep breath for now,
And exhaling.

And so is a sloth.

Sometimes the mind is so focused on threats,
What can go wrong,
What's not going good enough,
Where we can be better,
Where life can be improved,
That we close ourselves to the unexpected blessings,
The unexpected good fortune,
The unexpected luck that is always here,
Is always present,
Just sometimes difficult to receive.
So caught in what can go wrong,
Or what we should be worried about,
That we miss all of the protection,
All of the support,
All of the guidance,
The unseen guides that are supporting our path.
So remembering this,
That life cares for you,
And that life is supporting you in unseen ways.
