Noticing Thoughts.
Today,
As the title suggests,
We are noticing thoughts.
Rather than getting caught up in them,
You can begin to observe them as they come and go.
And this can really help to create a little more space in your mind.
So find a comfortable position,
Letting your body slightly soften.
No need to change anything,
Just being here.
Begin to notice your thoughts.
Not to follow them,
But just noticing that they are present.
A thought appears and then passes.
Another thought,
Coming and going.
You don't need to engage with any of them,
You are just observing.
If you do get caught up in a thought,
That's completely natural.
As soon as you notice this,
Gently step back again.
Let thoughts move through,
In their own time,
Passing.
Now just rest as the one who is noticing.
Thoughts may come and go,
And you can simply observe.
Now begin to notice the body again,
The space around you.
Taking one slightly deeper breath,
Gently bringing your awareness back.
