So take a few moments to settle in.
Get a little bit even more comfortable on your chair or bed or wherever you are,
Resting.
If you can,
And it feels good to do so,
Feel the furniture supporting you.
Like Mother Earth supports us and Universal Mind supports us in everything that we do.
We're always being held.
Notice your breathing and see how you're breathing right now.
If it pleases you to do so,
Take a deep breath in and allow yourself to fully relax into this moment.
With each exhale,
I invite you to let go of any tension or distraction.
Right here,
Right now,
There is nothing to do.
There is nowhere to be.
There are no expectations.
It is just you and I and a few people around the world holding hands together and just being.
I'll tell you a short story.
So there was an ancient village that nestled amongst these beautiful rolling hills.
And in this ancient village was a ramshackle house where an elder lived that was known for her grace and her wisdom.
Maybe she was called Mama J.
This beautiful elder often spoke about gratitude.
And everyone who came to her,
She would tell them that they should be grateful for the challenges as well as the highs in their life.
One evening,
During the harvest season,
The villagers all gathered around a beautiful fire.
They could hear the fire crackling and sparks flying in the air.
And they listened to the story that the elder shared that during her youth,
The crops had failed due to a drought and that left the community struggling to survive the winter months ahead.
Many people said,
This is terrible,
This is the end.
And even then she was wise and she said,
Well,
We shall see.
And indeed,
It was terrible.
It was hard.
There were many hardships during that cruel winter,
But one magical thing happened.
They discovered a deeper sense of strength and resilience.
They realized how much they could help each other.
People that they thought were selfish were sharing what they had.
People that had nothing would share what they had.
The community felt more deeper and deeply connected.
And they deeply appreciated each other and recognized that they were all in this together,
That no one was left behind.
They appreciated the bonds and the connections that they had made and were grateful for each day.
Some of the villagers said to the elder that they felt like this was the best time that they'd ever had.
And when that story came to mind,
It reminded me of COVID and how terrible COVID was for many,
Many people.
And we lost people and businesses crashed.
But there was also a sense of community,
A sense of sharing,
A sense of being connected.
And sometimes when we have a lot or we're in abundance,
We forget.
We forget that sense of connection.
So I'm inviting you to remember that now.
Let's just take a moment to visualize your light again.
So bring your awareness to your heart center,
If it pleases you to do so.
Place a hand on your chest and place a hand on your solar plexus.
Remember that tiny spark that's been glowing and growing with every day that gets nurtured by these times we have together.
With every inhalation,
Notice your light growing brighter and spreading warmth all through your chest,
All down your body,
Even into the tips of your toes.
As you exhale,
Release any attachments you have to specific outcomes or desires and rest in the knowledge that everything unfolds perfectly according to a plan that we are not aware of,
But that is felt deeply within your soul.
Now imagine the light expanding out beyond your physical form,
Encompassing your entire being and everyone around you will feel it.
Every cell is filled with warmth and assurance.
And remember that gratitude arises naturally from that well of being.
Allow yourself to rest here a moment longer,
Basking in the glow of peacefulness and serenity that is being created by you.
As we start to bring our awareness back to the present surroundings,
Remember that wellness is always available and that peace is always available.
Take a deep breath and feel that gentle glow still inside your heart space,
Always ready to face anything that comes at you with confidence and calmness.
You're always guided by your inner wisdom.
So start to wriggle your body a little bit,
Move your head on your shoulders,
Wriggle your fingers,
Wriggle your toes,
Flutter open your eyes and bring yourself back to the room.
If you want to carry on in that quiet space,
Then feel free to pause me and do what you need to do.
Remember that each moment contains potential insight because our experience comes from within and not from external circumstances alone.
