I know dealing with difficult people can be frustrating,
So let's take two minutes to find calm and regain perspective.
You can listen to this SOS reflection wherever you are,
At your desk or straight after a tough conversation.
As you take a deep breath in,
Acknowledge the wisdom in taking a step back from the situation.
With each exhale,
Release any frustration or tension building up inside you.
You can do this breathing exercise while sitting at your desk or even while walking away from a difficult interaction.
Remember,
They are not right and you are not right.
It just feels very difficult right now.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Remember that other people's behavior cannot harm your peace of mind.
Imagine their words or actions as clouds passing by.
They don't have the power to change the clear sky of your inner calm.
Now bring your attention back to yourself in the present moment.
Feel your feet on the ground or notice how your body feels supported by the chair or the floor beneath you.
You are safe and capable of handling this situation with grace.
Remember other people's actions are just external events.
They don't define you or how you respond.
Your innate health,
The calm within,
Is always there even when others challenge it.
Take one more deep breath in and out.
