Hello and welcome to this meditation for release and renewal.

My name is Julie.

Thank you for joining us all here today.

For this meditation,

Please find a comfortable position,

Preferably on your back.

If you'd like to lie on a bed,

That is absolutely fine,

Though do your best to stay awake.

However,

If you drift off to sleep,

That is okay too.

If you struggle with lower back sensitivities,

It might help to bend your knees,

Placing your feet on the floor.

Otherwise,

Allow your legs to simply extend and splay.

Try to relax the shoulders,

Just letting them open out.

Relax the hands,

Either facing the palms up or down,

And just gently relax the head.

Now that you've found a comfortable position,

Let's begin.

Start by taking a deep inhale through the nose,

And then exhale,

Sigh or blow the air out of the mouth.

And do this a few times.

And imagine that each time you inhale,

You're drawing calm into your body,

And each time you exhale,

You're releasing whatever tension or stress is currently residing in your body.

Take a few more breaths like this.

Inhale through the nose,

Exhale,

Sigh or blow the air out of the mouth.

And do that as many times as you need.

And when you're ready,

Allow your natural breath to just simply take over again as it always does.

Your natural inhale and exhale.

And close your eyes if they're not yet closed,

And start to feel your eyelids become heavier over your eyes.

And just feel them heavily resting,

So much so that it is as if they can no longer open.

And then,

Just let go of the breath.

And let go of the breath.

And you can feel them heavily resting,

So much so that it is as if they can no longer open.

And with the eyelids relaxed,

Take that same sense of relaxation,

Draw it up to the top of And then imagine that same sense of calm heaviness rolling down over your head,

Relaxing the brow,

The corners of the eyes,

Relaxing the corners of the mouth,

And loosening the jaw.

Take that same sense of relaxation,

Draw it down the neck,

Through the shoulders,

All the way out through the arms and into the fingertips,

So that it is as if your body,

Your hands,

Everything is just melting down.

Take that same calm,

Draw it through the back,

The chest,

The belly,

Down into the hips,

And through the legs and the feet.

Feel your whole body as heavy,

Relaxed,

Completely safe and secure.

And as you relax here,

Imagine that the laws of physics,

Of space and time,

No longer apply.

And feel as if you have become so heavy and so relaxed,

That it's as if your body just begins to melt beyond this realm,

Beyond the room in which you find yourself,

Beyond space and time.

And know that you are completely secure here,

You are completely safe.

And feel yourself floating,

Just safely dancing,

Falling through space and time,

Until you find yourself landing on a beautiful shoreline,

And feel the sand below you as warm.

Know that the water is safe.

Feel the sunlight falling upon your skin.

And feel yourself relax even further,

Relaxing deeply into this scene.

Hear the waves,

Hear the gulls in the air,

Smell the water.

See this space as completely pristine,

And know it as a healing space,

As if you've come to a beautiful temple.

And as you're here on the shoreline,

Imagine warm water gently rolling up to your skin,

The water just lapping,

Rolling back out with the tide.

And again,

Know that you are completely safe here.

And start to imagine that with every roll of the waves,

The waves are coming up and you are releasing something that you've held on to,

That you no longer need.

And then imagine whatever it is,

Rolling out with the tide,

Not to come back,

Just moving out.

There's anger held in your body.

Imagine letting it go with the waves.

What does it feel like to let it go?

Do you feel a release in certain parts of your body?

If you're holding onto grief,

Often stored in the lungs,

Imagine breathing it out with every wave,

Letting it go.

If you're storing sadness,

Frustration,

Resentment,

Imagine just letting them all go.

The waves taking all of this away,

Fears rolling out with the tide.

And feel yourself emptying of anything that keeps you low.

Feel yourself simply letting go.

What happens?

How does your body feel?

How does your mind feel?

And just keep letting go as much as you need.

You can use your breath here to blow it out.

You can just feel the waves coming in and out,

Washing you clean.

You are worthy of happiness,

Joy,

And peace.

Moving on to our negative feelings only harms ourselves.

You are worthy of being free.

Let it go.

Feel yourself opening.

Feel your shoulders relax just that little bit more.

Feel your chest open.

Feel your palms open.

And then imagine that this beautiful sky above casts a healing light right down to you.

And start to breathe in that beautiful light.

Take in that healing.

See it shimmering in any color or colors that you like.

And imagine that not only are you bringing it in with your breath,

But it's as if this light permeates the skin and begins to come down into your cells,

Into the trillions of cells in your body.

And feel that light pouring through your veins,

Pouring into your muscles,

Tissues,

And bones,

Everything that makes up the home of this body.

Feel yourself as a cleansed body of light.

And know that you are a being of light,

That you are a being capable of great compassion and love,

And that you can heal yourself and others.

Know it to be true.

And just bask in the glow of your own light now.

Feel yourself as free of whatever you've been hauling around that's brought you down.

Feel yourself as light,

Open,

Joyful.

And then from here,

As this being of light beaming,

Imagine yourself gently beginning to float away from this shoreline,

Thanking it for helping you to release and to replenish.

And feel yourself as if you are floating back through space,

Through time.

And then just find yourself softly landing back in your body,

In this space where you are right now.

And feel your body as lighter,

Still lighter.

Feel your body as a body of joy.

And then start to deepen your breath again.

And really just flood your lungs with wonderful air,

Bringing all that healing oxygen into the body.

And draw some movement back into your fingers and your toes.

Allow them to dance.

And when you're ready,

Roll to one side.

And then gently press your body up again.

Draw your hands together into prayer,

Into Anjali Mudra in front of the heart center.

And offer the following words to yourself in your mind.

In your mind say,

May I be happy.

May I always feel safe.

May I be free.

And then think of a loved one of any kind,

Human,

Furry or otherwise.

Hold them in your heart.

Stay in your mind for them.

May you be happy.

May you always feel safe.

May you be free.

And then for this earth and all its creatures,

May all creatures be happy.

May all creatures always feel safe.

May all creatures be free.

And gently bow to yourself,

Again honoring your beautiful light and the time you have given yourself here today.

Gently open your eyes.

Blessings for your journey.
