Welcome to this five minute morning meditation on gratitude.

My name is Julie and I invite you to listen to this meditation each morning for at least 30 days or to consistently utilize other morning meditation practices for 30 days to notice how even five minutes each day can impact your daily life.

Let's begin.

Find a comfortable seated position,

Possibly on the floor or on a cushion or even sitting on a chair.

Ground down through the sits bones and lift the crown to elongate your spine as if you are the connection between earth and sky.

Close the eyes and take a deep inhale through the nose and exhale,

Sigh out the mouth.

Do this a few times.

When you're ready,

Allow your natural breath to take over again.

And then draw an awareness to the center of your chest and imagine a light forming there.

See it in any color or colors that you like.

And now imagine that this light is infused with the vibration of gratitude.

Feel what it feels like when you are thankful.

And then feel that light pulsing and beginning to radiate from your chest.

Imagine your heart taking on this light and then feel that light being pumped through your body.

Feel the light reach all the way down into your toes.

And then take this moment to appreciate your feet,

All that they do for you each day,

All the places that they have ever taken you.

Draw that appreciation now up through your legs and through your joints.

Appreciate your hips,

Your back,

Your belly,

And all these organs inside that work together every day without even a conscious thought from you.

Draw that appreciation up through your chest,

Shoulders,

And all the way down the arms into the hands and the fingers.

Pause and honor how much your hands do for you each and every day.

Bring that light of gratitude up through your throat.

Feel gratitude for your voice and the gentle but powerful voice that you cultivate more and more every day.

Honor your senses,

All the ways that you interact with this world,

All the sounds,

Sights,

Tastes,

And all the touch.

Appreciate that big beautiful brain that has helped you to both survive and thrive throughout each day of this life.

And recall that millennia of ancestors had to survive before you so that you could be here now,

In this body,

In this life.

Feel your body radiating with light now and visualize that light moving ahead of you throughout this day,

Guiding a path of gratitude for you.

See already that each interaction you have today has already happened in an energy of light.

See that each person you meet can feel this light radiating from you and be lovingly touched by it.

Draw gratitude back to your breath now and take a few deeper breaths.

Feel yourself as content,

As full of gratitude,

And ready to begin this day.

Draw movement back into your hands and when you're ready,

Gently open the eyes.

Good morning.
