This meditation is going to be all about maternal love.

Not all of us are lucky enough to have that maternal love present in our lives,

But I want to channel that for you.

So for the next little while,

I'm going to channel divine maternal love to you.

I'm going to talk to you as a mother would talk to you,

A mother who loves you unconditionally,

Who loves you more than life itself.

So get yourself comfy now.

Settle or lie down.

Maybe tuck a blanket around you to ward off the chill.

Settle yourself into your body.

Notice your breath as it comes in and out.

In and out.

Gently and steadily.

There's no rush now.

There's nowhere else to be except here.

Feel where you connect to the floor or the ground or the bed.

Feel your feet,

Bottom,

Back,

Your shoulders and the back of your head.

Feel your hands wherever they're resting.

Maybe loose at your side or gently touching in your lap.

Feel your body as a grounded presence in the world.

Dense and heavy.

Relaxed and open.

Exactly as it was designed to be.

Expressly designed for the perfect work that is carrying your soul in this lifetime.

First,

Know that you are loved.

Unconditionally and without restraint.

My love for you has no beginning and no end.

I love you exactly as you are.

No matter what you think.

No matter how you feel about yourself.

No matter what you have done or not done at any point in your life.

I love you from the beginning and to the end and beyond.

Hear that now and hold it within you.

You are loved.

I love you.

I'm so proud of you.

Look at me.

Look at how well you're doing.

Look at how far you've come.

Look how much you've grown.

I see you.

Picking yourself up after every stumble.

Brushing yourself off even when nobody can see you.

Trying your best.

Learning to take those baby steps even when the world looks grey and dark.

My darling,

You are so bright.

Nurture that sunbeam inside of you.

Don't be afraid to let it shine out through your eyes,

Through your smile and the way you walk through the world.

You have no idea what impact you have on other people when you smile at them.

Even when times are difficult,

You have the ability to brighten someone else's day.

Remember to look up and out at the world around you.

Look at the people who share your world,

Whether they're friends or strangers.

Take nourishment from nature,

In whatever form you find it in life.

It might be wide open skies,

Or trees reaching to heaven.

The sound of the ocean.

Or maybe the strong,

Sturdy petals and leaves of the weeds thriving in a cityscape,

Forcing themselves through the concrete to look at the sun.

Please remember you are part of nature.

Whether you feel like that big strong tree or the little weed,

You deserve to be here.

You are as necessary to the workings of the universe as any other person,

As any animal,

As any cloud.

You are entirely on purpose.

Be nourished by this.

And speaking of nourishment,

I would like you to continue taking care of your body.

It is the only one you've got.

Please care for yourself physically as you would care for a dearly beloved child or a friend.

Nourish yourself with good food.

Move your body a little bit every day.

Walk,

Stretch,

Feel thankful for all your body is capable of doing.

See rest as a gift you've given to yourself.

Have an early night once in a while.

And remember sometimes when we're worrying,

It really is because we're tired or hungry.

Ask yourself the question that I would ask if I was there.

Say,

Darling,

What do you need?

Do you need food?

Do you need water?

Do you need rest?

Do you need a hug?

And then see to that need with compassion.

When you look at yourself in the mirror,

See yourself through my eyes.

See the face of someone who is dear and well-loved.

See the face of someone who is living because of and despite of it all.

See the body that carries you from place to place.

See the arms and hands that hold and tend to those in need.

Carry out the tasks that need doing every day.

Look into your eyes.

Imagine you're looking at a friend,

At your very best friend.

And talk to yourself as lovingly as you would talk to them or to me.

When you speak to yourself,

Imagine that you're speaking to me too.

Would you use those harsh words?

Would you let negativity in?

Or would your words be gentle,

Compassionate and kind?

Speak to yourself as I speak to you,

With all the love,

Unconditionally and devotedly.

My darling,

You are so very precious.

I'm so very happy that you exist,

That we share this world.

Aren't we lucky to be alive right now?

As you go through the rest of your day now,

Take this with you.

You are loved.

I love you.

All the maternal love in the world flows through me to you and is available to you at any moment that you need it,

At all times.

We are all connected.

There is no division,

No separation.

It is easy for me to love you.

You are so lovable and it is not because of the things you say or do.

It is simply because you are.

Put this in your pocket and take it out whenever you need to.

Repeat it quietly to yourself.

Hold the knowledge close in your heart and say it as many times as you need to.

I am loved.

I am loved.

I am loved.

When you're ready,

Smile and stretch and set forth into your day knowing just how loved you are and remembering I'm always here whenever you need me.

Have a blessed day.
