Good morning and welcome to this meditation.
Where we're going to tap into the energy of Gemini.
And try and get a clear mind to start the day.
So this practice is for.
People who have that busy Gemini moon?
Or strong Gemini placements.
Or someone who wants to channel some of that.
To get their mind clear and open and ready.
For anyone who wakes up with 20 tabs already open in their head.
So let's quickly talk about the Gemini moon.
Which may be transiting right now.
The moon is your emotional inner world.
And an air moon like Gemini feels through thinking.
Your mind is rarely quiet.
It collects,
Connects,
Questions and chatters,
Often all before breakfast.
It's a brilliant and curious gift,
But in the morning it can feel like noise.
And that's something that many people with curious questioning minds feel.
We are not going to try and silence the mind.
Because we cannot and we do not need to.
We are simply going to give it one clear thing to hold.
So sit comfortably.
You can let your eyes close or rest them softly in one spot.
Take a breath in.
And notice the thoughts already moving.
Don't fight them.
Just notice that they're there,
Like watching traffic from a window.
They come,
They go.
They're not all important.
And spend a few breaths settling in.
And just observing your busy mind at work.
Be curious about how easily it brings you new thoughts in the silence.
And now,
Narrow the focus.
Breathe in for a count of four.
And hold for 4.
Breathe out for four.
And hold for four.
And as you count,
The mind has one simple thing to do.
So do that again.
At your own pace.
Steady box breathing.
Gives your mind a chance to settle on one thing.
So,
Breathing around the edges of the square.
In for fall.
And hold for four.
And out for four.
And hold for four.
And as you do this simple practice.
You feel how the counting gathers together the scattered pieces.
The chatter is still there.
But it's quieter now.
You're in the driving seat.
And from here,
You can acknowledge the presence of the chatter without judgment.
It doesn't matter if thoughts rise up.
It doesn't matter if the traffic around goes fast or slow.
As you breathe now just at your own pace.
Ask yourself one clear question.
What deserves my attention first today?
And just let one answer rise above the rest.
Don't overthink it.
Just hold that answer.
The other tabs can stay open.
They don't all need you at once.
Take some steady breaths.
Now your mental chatter.
It's just the traffic around you.
It's not going anywhere without you.
But you can drive the singular vehicle.
Of that one answer.
And just stop there.
Keep breathing.
Open your eyes.
And begin with that one clear thing.
Remember,
A clear mind is not an empty one.
It is just a focused one.
