Meet your Teacher

Sharon M. Jones, MA, MA, AMFT is an Associate Marriage Family Therapist, Christian Counselor, Certified Life coach & Mentor. She is the founder of New Insight 2 Life Org, a global social media and Podcast platform. Her motto is “motivating, empowering, inspiring to greatness”. She is also the executive director of New Insight Christian Counseling, LLC, a faith-based Tele-counseling service where she provides Christian counseling. Sharon earned her BA in Maternal Child Health and worked in private practice as a licensed International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, workshop presenter, and parenting educator. She earned her dual MA Degrees in counseling psychology with a focus on marriage-family therapy, forensic psychology, and certification in pastoral counseling. She completed her PhD. Doctorate Degree in "Social Justice & Higher educational leadership" with a focus on complex trauma. She is developing a family wellness clinic in Jamaica that will serve 69,000+ individuals and was named after her great grandmother who had a vision for building a children’s clinic in Jamaica to meet the needs of her local community. For fun, she enjoys family, traveling, cooking, writing, singing, classic movies, and crossword puzzles. Her Favorite Scripture: Isaiah 61:1-3

This lesson focuses on factors impacting healthy minds from a Christian perspective. Participants learn skills for: realizing one’s full potential, coping with life stressors, working productively, making community contributions, and serving God optimally. Tools offered include steps to maintaining a healthy mind and body, to include spiritual connectedness, developing consistent prayer and fasting, studying, reading and meditating on God’s Word. What are some positive habits that contribute to maintaining a healthy mind from a Christian perspective?

This lesson focuses on some positive habits for maintaining a healthy mind and body from a Christian perspective. Participants learn skills for spending quality time with other Christians or faith believers to gain strength in times of need or challenges. Tools offered include steps to fostering creativity: challenge one’s mind to connecting unrelated ideas in new and useful ways, daily physicality, exercise routines for at least 20 minutes most days of the week. This lesson focuses on life changes for a healthy mind and body from a Christian perspective. Participants learn skills for creating balance for a longer and happier life. Tools offered include steps to: spending time in focused thought, exploring new ideas, creating, maintaining human bonds social support networks, balancing calories in/calories out, and reducing one’s carbon footprint, embracing the liberty that comes with wanting and needing less.
