Let's begin by finding a quiet,

Comfortable place where you will not be disturbed.

You can choose to sit or lie down,

Whichever feels more grounding to you.

Close your eyes and take the next 30 seconds to breathe deeply and slowly,

Inhaling peace and exhaling any tension you might be holding.

Let's begin by imagining a warm,

Colorful light filling your entire being.

Let it radiate from your core,

Spreading outward.

Feel that warm,

Colorful light anchor you in the present moment,

Washing away any distractions or worries.

Let this light be your guide throughout this journey.

As you sit in your comfortable position,

Feeling the warm and colorful light filling your entire being,

Visualize a white doorway with a golden doorknob in front of you,

Shimmering with soft,

Inviting light.

This is the doorway to forgiveness.

Take a deep breath and step through it,

Feeling the gentle transition from the outside world to your inner landscape,

Where all things are possible and you are safe to express and explore.

Within this inner space,

Imagine a figure appearing.

As they come into focus,

You realize it's the person you wish to forgive,

Standing before you with a neutral expression.

Take a moment to observe them,

Their posture,

How are they looking at you.

What is the clothing that they're wearing?

Now turn your focus inward and notice any emotions that arise within you.

Do you feel frustration,

Anger,

Hurt,

Sadness,

Or any other emotion?

Observe each of these emotions closely,

Without judgment.

Simply allow them to float within you and around you.

Give each emotion its own attention and pay very close mindfulness to that emotion.

And how it makes you feel.

As you stand there facing the person which you wish to forgive,

Imagine gently inviting this person to speak,

To share their version of the story.

Listen with an open heart and an open mind,

Not to judge or to blame,

But to seek to understand.

Let their words wash over you,

Even if they are painful.

See if you can find a flicker of vulnerability,

A hint of regret,

Or simply the shared human experience of imperfection.

Now imagine yourself stepping into their shoes.

See the world through their eyes,

Feel their emotions,

Understand their circumstances.

This doesn't mean condoning their actions,

But rather cultivating compassion for their journey.

Now take a deep,

Cleansing breath in,

Feeling the weight of the past lift with each inhale.

As you exhale,

Visualize a gentle breeze carrying away any anger,

Resentment,

Or bitterness you might hold.

Repeat this breath each time,

Releasing a little bit more of the burden.

If you feel ready,

Speak the words of forgiveness aloud,

Or in your mind if that's more comfortable.

You can say,

I forgive you for whatever they might have done,

Or simply go ahead and forgive.

For whatever they might have done,

Or simply I release you.

These words are for yourself as much as for the other person.

Speak them with sincerity,

Feeling the weight of forgiveness settle into your heart.

Now that you have spoken the words of forgiveness,

Imagine a soft,

Golden light enveloping both of you.

This is the light of acceptance,

Understanding,

And gentle release.

Feel the warmth of this light dissolve any remaining barriers,

Leaving only peace and understanding between the two of you.

As this golden light envelops both of you,

Reach out and offer the other person a hug,

A gesture of compassion and goodwill.

Feel the emotional connection,

The shared humanity that transcends past hurts and conflicts.

This is not an act about forgetting,

But about choosing to move forward with an open and lighter heart.

When you feel complete,

Step back from the person and turn to face the doorway.

Take one last deep breath,

Feeling the lightness of forgiveness within you.

With a grateful heart,

Step back through the doorway,

Returning to the present moment.

Carry with you the feeling of forgiveness throughout your day.

Remember,

It's a journey,

Not a destination.

There may be moments of doubt or lingering feelings,

Not a destination.

There may be moments of doubt or lingering emotions,

But gently return to the practice of letting go.

With each breath,

With each act of compassion,

You choose to heal and move forward.

When you feel ready,

Gently open your eyes and return to your surrounding.

Carry the peace and lightness of forgiveness with you,

Knowing that you have taken a step towards healing and inner freedom.

May you find peace and healing through the power of forgiveness.

Have a wonderful day.
