Hello my name is Louise.
Have you ever noticed that situations that we come across in our daily lives can sometimes appear frustrating,
Make us angry,
Other times similar situation doesn't bother us at all and we just sail through them.
This is because our thoughts create our reality.
So for an example if you went to college,
Night school,
You went to the same place every week,
The same time,
Every week evening,
You saw the same people with the same tutor and pretty much studying the same subject.
One week when you go,
You're running late,
The traffic's built up,
The lights all turn red,
People are just diving out of sideroads,
Getting in your way,
Everybody's making you angry,
I'm late,
I'm late,
Get out of the way,
There's no car parking spaces when you get there,
You sort of run in all ruffled and things are falling out of your bag,
Oh it's just such a difficult situation and to top it all when you get there,
They haven't got enough chairs so you're gonna have to find a chair from a different classroom.
The lesson goes okay and the ride home is just as annoying.
Another week you go to the same course,
You leave perhaps a little bit earlier,
Traffic is smooth,
The weather's okay,
People don't dive out in front of you.
When you get to the car park,
Amazingly there are loads of spaces,
You go into the classroom,
Same old people,
Same tutor,
Everybody's quite cheerful tonight,
You have a really good experience with really good discussions on the topic and you leave feeling quite satisfied,
I've had a really good evening.
Come home,
Say hello to everybody and they want to know how did you get on this week and it's a completely different experience it seems.
When you look at it though,
It's the same type of things that you're doing,
It's just your thoughts about what's happening that has changed.
Really the circumstances didn't change but because of the way you think about what's happening moment to moment,
Your reality is very different from week to week.
So if we could just think about this,
Notice our thoughts,
Notice how our thoughts affect our feelings,
If you can just notice this every day then it just all becomes just a little bit clearer and a little bit easier and you become a little bit more aware that actually our thoughts make our feelings feel different day to day,
Moment to moment and in fact nothing is really changing out there,
It's just how we're feeling in here.
So notice your thoughts,
Let them fly by,
Don't need to do anything about them,
Don't need to make them positive,
Just notice them go by like clouds in the sky and every day will come just that little bit easier.
Let me know your thoughts in the classroom,
Leave me a comment and till we meet again,
Thank you.
