This poem came from my study of the Radiance Sutras by Dr. Lorin Roche as part of my 500-hour meditation teacher training. When things are falling down around us and finding our way is difficult, there is always an option to trust in the divine. In this poem, I explore how we can release the struggle and allow ourselves to dissolve into the infinite presence of the divine all around us. The original title of this piece is "As the World Collapses in Many Ways All At Once, Ride Wild Horses.

Transcript

As the world collapses in many ways all at once,

Ride,

Wild horses.

The rhythm of the ocean of space is always within and without.

A shimmering sand galaxy,

Edging untethered planets and pulsations,

Offers invitation in ripples and surges,

Beauty and agitation,

Where stars dot depths.

Which way is up?

Release,

Go limp,

And sense the buoyancy.

As waves go,

Feel flow while you embody eternity.
