Welcome to part two of Why Do We Love Yoga Nidra Meditation So Much.
York in nature.
Is a technique.
It's a state of consciousness and it's also a goddess rooted in Tantra and Vedic mythology,
But that's for another video.
So yoga nidra is a laya practice.
Laya in Sanskrit means dissolution.
So lyre yoga.
Which comes from a branch of yoga that focuses on the dissolution of the individual or ego consciousness.
And merges with the universal conscious or something I like to call our true self.
Now why is this interesting?
Because when we come out of Yoga Nidra,
We feel clear.
We feel rested,
We feel rejuvenated.
Why is this?
Because we practice this laya yoga where the layers and layers of bodies or shapes or aspects of ourselves.
Dissolve.
We no longer feel our body.
The distractions of our mind.
Get quiet and we go into this state of consciousness.
Where,
Much like when we're asleep,
We go,
Our mind,
Our brain is in delta brainwave state.
Which is the most healing and restorative place for the brain to be in.
So it's way down into the state where there is No dreaming,
Non-random sleep.
And we are rejuvenated.
So another reason why we love Yoga Nidra so much.
Thank you for joining me and I'll see you in the next video.
