Welcome.
I invite you to rest here in your body.
I invite you to be at home here in your body.
There are moments when it seems that the storm inside me cannot be quieted,
That the thunder of the restlessness of my daily doings cannot be stilled and will not release me.
In those moments,
I remind myself,
In breath and in compassion,
That the storm inside,
That too can rest in stillness,
That the subtle restlessness,
The rumble,
The subtle ache,
That too can rest in the stillness.
There's a practice of offering stillness,
And when someone has lost something or someone,
Often times there's pain.
In this practice,
You visit this person in their morning,
You go to where they are,
And you sit next to them,
And you sit with them in silence,
With no words,
And all that is offered is your stillness and your presence.
What would it be like to offer stillness to yourself?
To offer stillness to the storm?
To be with the pain that rocks us?
To offer stillness to whatever is there in your experience right here and right now,
Knowing that that too can exist in the stillness that you are,
And that to live is to experience fully and to give yourself permission to be present to whatever shows up in your experience of life,
And to offer it the stillness that you are.
I invite you to close your eyes now,
And to acknowledge the life that is in you,
The joy,
The sadness,
The fear,
And all that you experience in this moment here in your body.
I invite you to be still and to rest here.
Welcome home.
Feel your breath.
Allow your bones to still,
Your muscles to release.
Allow yourself to settle here in your own awareness.
Allow yourself to let go of the comings and the goings of your day and be here and be still.
Notice the air around you.
Notice the space of the room that you're in.
And notice your breathing.
Notice the life that is happening here,
Right here in your stillness.
Allow rest to be here in your body,
In your bones,
In the air in your lungs,
And the blood in your veins.
Be with the realness of your body and the stillness of your soul.
And rest here in this moment,
In this moment,
In this moment.
Welcome home.
