Transcript

My name is Dan and I'll be guiding us through clarity and focus.

Today we'll find clarity and focus through the breath.

So start by sitting up tall and take a deep breath in through your nose and gently exhale through your mouth.

Now block off your right nostril and inhale and exhale through your left.

Inhale and exhale.

Now block off your left nostril and inhale and exhale through your right nostril.

Inhale and exhale.

And continue again,

This time on your own.

Feel your mind balancing and clearing with each breath.

As your breath flows smoothly,

Picture your thoughts settling like sand sinking to the bottom of the ocean or a clear jar of water.

Clarity emerges when your mind becomes still and space opens.

Focus on one task at a time that you'd like to approach your day with.

This brings clarity.

And just return now to your normal breathing through both nostrils.

Breathe life into that intention.

Allowing it to take shape in your mind.

When multiple things come to mind and we're juggling for which one should take priority in our mind,

At that time alone,

I invite you to return to your normal breathing.

Return back to your breath.

It doesn't have to be alternate nostril breathing.

It can just be one breath in through your nose and exhaling out your mouth.

This brings you back right into the present moment.

The present moment usually will remind us what the task is,

Which is where we are and what's right in front of us.

From this place,

Space opens.

The mind becomes still.

One event,

One situation at a time.

So this focus is always accessible.

Your breath is yours and it is your anchor.

Carry this sense of calm with you as you move throughout your day.
