Hello and welcome to your floating bed.
Thank you so much for coming back and joining me.
Let me ask you a question.
Do you ever feel like your head is very busy?
Just everything's a bit busy up there and your thoughts and feelings are overflowing and overwhelming and you might feel like you just can't think clearly.
Well,
I've got a short and very simple exercise for you for whenever you feel like that.
And it will help you clear your mind and it will help you feel calm and you can use it whenever you need it.
Maybe before you're heading to school or maybe before you approach a piece of difficult homework or maybe as part of your bedtime routine to help you clear your mind.
It's yours to use whenever you need it.
And it will remind you once again that you have everything you need inside you.
You just need to use these simple exercises to tune into it.
You can do it.
And this exercise is inspired by a request from Taylor in West Sussex.
Hello,
Taylor.
And Taylor wanted to go to a snowy village.
Oh,
That sounds lush,
Taylor.
So come on,
Let's take a moment to clear our busy minds and head to our snowy village.
So as always,
Guys,
Let's take a moment to find a quiet spot where you won't get distracted and get comfortable and close your eyes.
Your mind may feel very fizzy right now.
You've probably got lots of thoughts and feelings just whizzing around your mind.
It's like your mind is a snow globe.
All your thoughts and feelings are delicate flakes of snow flying around the snow globe,
Swirling around the snow globe so fast.
And you cannot see what is inside the snow globe because it is so shaken up with the whirlwind of tiny snowflakes chaotically flying around.
So you take a moment to stop shaking the snow globe.
And you are still.
And you take a slow,
Gentle breath in through your nose,
Filling your tummy with air.
And you exhale,
Blowing all of the air out of your tummy as slowly as you can.
And take another slow,
Gentle breath in through your nose,
Fill your tummy up with air.
And as you exhale,
Can you blow all of the air out of your tummy even slower?
And take another slow,
Gentle breath in through your nose,
Fill your tummy with air.
And as you take a really slow exhale,
Blowing all of the air out of your tummy,
You feel your entire body relaxing.
Your entire body is calm.
And slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly,
The snowflakes inside the snow globe stop flying around so chaotically.
And the snowflakes gently settle on the ground.
And slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Your thoughts and emotions stop whizzing around your mind and they gently settle.
We don't want to get rid of your thoughts and feelings.
We just want them to calm down so you can see clearly.
And as your mind settles,
Your snow globe calms and you can see very clearly what is inside.
A snowy village set in the valley of snow-peaked mountains.
And you imagine walking through the snow towards the snowy village,
Your feet sinking into the deep,
Soft snow.
You enjoy the sound of the snow crunching beneath your feet.
You discover a frozen lake before the village and you ice skate across the frozen lake,
Gliding and twirling and spinning and sliding across the ice.
Then you arrive at the snowy village and you find your very own cabin.
And it is so inviting.
And inside the cabin,
You find a warm fire,
Its flames glowing red.
And you sit before the fireplace on a ginormous bean bag.
You sink into its deep cushions.
It feels like the bean bag is giving you a giant cuddle.
And you listen to the sound of the crackling flames.
And you drink hot chocolate.
Maybe it's covered in cream and marshmallows.
You enjoy its smooth,
Sweet,
Creamy taste.
And you feel so relaxed.
And you stay here as long as you like,
Thinking your thoughts,
Feeling your feelings.
But knowing you are safe and you are supported and you are in control.
So stay here as long as you like and enjoy seeing clearly inside your beautifully calm snow globe.
And enjoy seeing clearly inside your beautifully calm mind.
Enjoy.
