So,

Find yourself a quiet spot and just take a moment to get comfortable,

Whatever that feels like or looks like for you.

And if you feel comfortable doing so,

Close your eyes and let's take a gentle inhale through your nose and exhale and let's begin by reminding yourself this is your time to concentrate on you here in this moment.

And your mind may wonder,

It often does and that's all good.

Just catch it and bring your attention right back to you here in this moment.

Notice what you can hear around you.

What is the furthest sound from you?

Maybe the sound of children,

Your students,

Maybe traffic.

Tune into that sound and pay attention to it.

And now notice sounds in the next room,

Maybe voices,

Maybe the TV.

Focus on those sounds.

And now notice the noises coming from you,

Your body.

Is your stomach gurgling?

Can you hear your breathing?

And now notice how you are breathing.

Don't try and control it,

Just notice it.

Then take a moment to ask yourself how you're feeling.

How are you?

Maybe nobody asked you how you are today.

Are you holding that feeling in your body?

Is it causing any tension in your body?

Maybe in your shoulders?

Maybe in your chest?

Maybe in your jaw or your forehead?

Focus on that tension and let's take an inhale gently through your nose,

Filling your tummy with air.

And as we exhale,

Imagine that tension wherever it may be is just melting away from your body.

Melting away,

Melting away.

And now focus on anything that's been playing on your mind.

Maybe making your day difficult,

Worrying you,

Or frustrating you.

Anything that just isn't serving you and instead is standing in the way of you being calm.

I want you to gather it up and let's take an inhale,

Fill your tummy with air and gently exhale and imagine blowing that all away from your body.

Blow it all away.

We're not ignoring those emotions.

They're still there.

Just want to turn down the volume to settle and to put them to one side whilst we recharge.

Breathe in again,

Very slowly,

Very gently.

And as you breathe out,

Tell yourself,

I am appreciated.

Even though it may not feel like it sometimes,

You and your work are very much appreciated.

And again,

Let's breathe in through your nose very slowly,

Very gently.

And as you breathe out,

Tell yourself,

My work is important.

It is so very important.

You are helping to shape lives.

You are appreciated and your work is important.

And again,

Let's inhale through your nose,

Breathing in really slowly and really gently.

And as you breathe out,

Tell yourself,

I am making a difference.

You are making a difference in the lives of so many.

You are making a difference.

Your work is important and you are appreciated.

And let's breathe in through your nose,

Slowly,

Gently.

And as you breathe out,

Tell yourself,

I matter.

You matter and your work matters.

You are making a difference.

Your work is important and you are appreciated.

And repeat to yourself,

I am good at what I do.

I am proud of what I do.

I am proud of myself.

And now stay here as long as you like.

Take your time.

And when you are ready to move into your day,

You will be feeling recharged,

Feeling calm,

Feeling empowered.

Thank you.
