Welcome to this meditation.
I'll invite you to find a comfortable seated position.
Allowing the sit bones to root into the surface beneath you.
Allowing the feet to press heavily into the ground.
I'll invite you to let the eyes fall shut or you can lower the gaze.
Allowing the focus to tune inwards.
And then gently find your breath.
Allowing the body to expand and open on the inhale.
And allowing the body to soften on the exhale.
For today,
We're going to be focusing on orienting yourself in the room.
In the space around you.
So as you're sitting here,
Just notice your surroundings.
Any sounds.
And it smells.
Any feeling.
Maybe it's a temperature.
Maybe it's a texture.
And then just noticing how the breath responds to this.
Now notice your body in space.
Notice the weight.
Notice if you're shifting forwards or backwards.
Where is the body in space?
Noticing the breath.
Noticing the body.
Noticing the environment and the space around you.
Now keeping a bit of awareness in the breath.
Keeping a bit of awareness to your surroundings.
Just notice the interconnection between the two.
On one hand,
You have your attention inwards.
On one hand,
You have your attention outwards.
Notice of this view.
Notice where you are in the bigger picture.
Notice where you are in space.
Notice yourself and the room around you.
The space around you.
Notice how you are a part of a bigger whole.
And start to notice the sensations and emotions that this brings.
Knowing that you were a part of something bigger.
The environment around you.
The space around you.
Continue to find a natural rhythm with your breath.
Deep and long inhales and exhales.
Giving awareness to yourself,
Your inner world.
But also awareness within space.
Within the environment around you.
We'll take two more rounds of breaths.
And allow these rounds to be even deeper,
Maybe even longer.
At your own time when you are ready.
I'll invite you to bring movement into the fingertips and the toes.
If it feels comfortable you can take the arms over your head for a full stretch.
And when you are ready,
You can slowly come back to the space,
The room you are in.
Allowing the eyes to open gently.
I will leave you here today.
Thank you so much for listening to this meditation and I wish you a great day ahead.
